Positive: Staying in the house gave us a real feel of being in a "jungle" of Hawaii with all the sounds of coqui frog :-) There is no phone signal but the wi-fi worked perfectly. The house was very clean and there were many additional things provided in the kitchen (spices, coffee, sugar etc.) which was a great bonus. Our week there was unforgetable not only because of the rain storm which went by ;-) All in all, I highly recommend this accomodation to anyone seeking peace and quiet far away from civilization and rush! and hope they will love it as we did!!

Positive: This is truly a special place to stay on the Big Island. This time we chose a quiet, charming spot far from the city, and it was exactly what we needed. The house is tucked away in the jungle, surrounded by lush greenery. Inside, there are two separate bedrooms, a kitchen, dining area, a cozy living room with a big TV, and a bathroom with a view of the garden plus a terrace with a workspace for enjoying the outdoors while working! The highlight was definitely the beautiful, perfectly designed terrace with plenty of space to relax, unwind, and even sleep under the stars, and yes, there was a bed outside! The whole place is decorated in a lovely, local Hawaiian style. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped. The property is fenced, has parking, and even a BBQ area. But the absolute best part was the nature all around us lots of geckos during the day and birds singing at night. We’d also love to thank Jozsef for his hospitality and care. We truly felt looked after. We recommend this place with all our hearts and really hope to return one day ❤️

Positive: The house is just like the photos. It actually has 2 bedrooms not just one as listed. At night when the temperature drops, inside the house remains nice and cozy. Also, when you shut the windows, the sound of the coqui frogs lessen a lot! There are neighbors so we felt safe, and not isolated. The house was clean, cozy, well stocked and very well lit at night. Really happy with the motion lighting at night!!

Negative: Just a heads up that there is two roads you can take to the house, Leilani Ave or Malama St. Leilani Ave is paved and a much safer drive to the house, Malama St. is quicker way to the house, but is not a paved road, it is all rocks so you have to take it slow especially if you don't have a truck. Also, the padlock at the front gate, took us a little bit to get right, helpful hint, the numbers line up at the top of the lock not the middle.

Summary: So happy to have found this listing, wish we stayed longer then one night!

Positive: It was a very peaceful location. It included all the amenities you could need to have a home away from home. It had enough space inside and out to enjoy our vacation. The kitchen was stocked with any item we needed. Waking up to the birds singing every morning was beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet, and we felt safe. The host was extremely helpful and hospitable.

Negative: There is not a thing I would have done differently.

Summary: We were so happy to have come across this gem. We had an amazing time and would book it again.
