Negative: It's unfortunate that the owners decided to scrimp on the little things, but that added up to a big negative. The plastic chairs on the deck were so flimsy, they were actually dangerous. The BBQ was terrible. Frying meat on the stove tasted better. The sofa bed was bad, even as a couch. Very cheap appliances. No hot tub for our unit, nor the one adjacent to us. (I don't remember that being stated clearly when I booked the cabin.) The living space is cramped. The door to the bedroom didn't shut properly, so any breeze during the night would open and slam it. (The nights were warm while we were there, so it was necessary to keep the windows open.} Mosquitos aplenty, but that's not their fault.

Summary: Scrimping on the little things can come back to bite you.

Positive: Views of the ocean, central location, although a bit of a drive to restaurants, nice deck with chairs, fridge, burners, dishes, great shower, comfortable beds, nice landscaping and a pretty ‘secret’ garden area with a goldfish pond and seating. We ate at Main St Restaurant and bakery, and Coastal, both very good.

Negative: I have a bad knee, so wasn’t able to get into the hot tub, which was disappointing .

Positive: this is a no frills cottage experience next to the water and the location and views were beautiful. the cabin was clean, though living area was quite small. it was quiet but there was an odd smell in the area.

Negative: upon checking into 2 cabins, I advised the staff person that our 18 yr old son was traveling with us so there would be 3 in one of our cabins. rather than asking me how she could help, she immediately started saying how only 2 people were allowed in the cottage and that this was explicitly stated on the website. I asked if she wanted us to leave the property and she strongly considered it. I said all I wanted was sheets, a pillow and a towel for the fold out bed that was already in the cottage (why have a fold out if you can't accommodate 3 people?) finally she agreed to give me the sheets and a towel, said she couldn't retrieve a pillow. next day she summoned me back to the office to say her manager said there would be a $50/night charge for the 3rd person which also makes no sense since there is no breakfast included and 3rd person wasn't using any additional equipment or facilities since there aren't any. this was just a really tough way to start our visit and completely unnecessary.

Positive: The property is beautiful, loved the hot tub on our deck. Very private and relaxing. The bed is comfortable and cabin clean.

Negative: I liked everything but we came in May and really nothing is open around this area for dinners so take out and make your own. The kitchen in the cabin is small and could use more lighting.
