What should have been a relaxing retreat turned into an uncomfortable experience. The mattress, which my wife aptly described as a "torture rack" after the first night, was the primary source of our dissatisfaction. We could distinctly feel the springs through the mattress, making it impossible to enjoy our planned leisurely mornings in bed, admiring the view from our room. The discomfort was so severe that my wife resorted to searching online for nearby stores selling memory foam mattress toppers - hardly the activity we had envisioned for her birthday getaway. Summary: We had an ocean view king room. The view was spectacular! But the room needed some updating in so many areas. The sliding door was falling apart, the bathroom sink, light fixtures, cabinets, even light switches were very outdated and old. For the price, I would have expected something more modern. However, the kitchenette area was great!!
