Positive: Sascha's Place was lovely! Our room was very spacious, with a little table. The bed is foam and comfortable, and the AC worked great, as well as the ceiling fan. We really enjoyed the little wooden couch out front, as well as the beautiful grounds. Breakfast was provided to our room, and it was simple but delicious and filling. Charm, Sascha's wife, is so welcoming and kind - she helped us ensure we had all we needed. We arranged for laundry service (about 300php) and to rent a great motorbike (350php/day). There are three cute jack russell terriers on the property. We really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Negative: I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you have your own transport (like the motorbike you can rent from Sascha's Place) because it was a little out of the main area where most of the restaurants, etc. are. However, we enjoyed the local feel of the neighborhood, and you can get to the main area via very smooth roads in about 15 minutes if you have a motorbike. Two other tiny suggestions would be a replacement shower head and cozier pillows as they were a bit thin, but again, we really enjoyed this stay and would recommend it!

Positive: Family business, it felt like home for us. Very good room, clean and spacious. Bed is comfortable and the shower doesn’t wet the whole bathroom (as in almost all hotels in Philippines) and has a a good pressure. The breakfast is tasty, but simple and always the same (toasted bread, omelete and a little bit of fruit).

Negative: There’s nothing in a walking distance, but is a quiet location and ok if you have a motorcycle.

Positive: Charm was very helpful, flexible and quick when we needed to communicate! The accomodation is very clean and comfortable!

Negative: A little far away (we actually wanted that) : you need a ride to get there, can't do nothing if you're walking :)

Positive: Our experience was a little bit different than other reviews. We booked the day before but when we arrived only the host’s young daughter was there as it turned out she didn’t see the reservation and still needed the room to be cleaned. Otherwise it’s a nice quiet place with beautiful garden. Breakfast was okay. Recommend to rent a scooter to get there

Negative: Shower pressure basically non existent. No cell reception and poor WiFi, but I guess both of these are common on the island

Positive: Lovely family based property , very friendly and we felt part of the family but also had privacy with where the room was located. Lovely Jack Russell dogs there too! Spacious room with good aircon. The owner arranged the breakfast we asked for without question and organised a bike for us too. Fantastic

Negative: Shower pressure wasn’t great but that’s the island I guess.

Positive: Charm, Sascha and their family were soooo lovely! It was so nice to be able to sit down and have a meal with them and their friends. They were so welcoming and really made us feel at home. The rooms are clean and very large, inside a beautiful garden. They helped us with everything we needed and gave us a lift to the port too!

Negative: Nothing it was lovely! Would be even better if they had a pool, as the beach isn’t really swimmable. The place is a little out of the way so you’ll need a moped to get anywhere
