Travel Purpose: business

Positive: We booked last minute for one night after our ferry was cancelled. Host was very responsive for all our requests and arranged an early morning drop off to the port. Apartment is quite large with a living room / kitchen downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs. It was more than enough for 2 of us and can accomodate bigger groups. Everything was clean and well maintain. A/C is older but works well and not too loud so does not impact sleep. We did not do any cooking so cannot access how well kitchen is equipped. It was enough for our needs. Location is good - close to the Siquijor port (3-5 min drive) and close to the beach (5-10 min walk). Not sure if there are good places to eat nearby.

Negative: Our only concern was the bathroom. It is quite small, with shower not separated from toilet and sink area so everything gets wet when you take shower. However, water drains out pretty well, so there are no standing puddle of water after a shower. Another concern was that toilet is downstairs and bedrooms are upstairs and stairs are quite steep. It may be a problem to go to the toilet at night, especially for older people.

Positive: Our stay with our host June was perfect. Communication was excellent and very cooperative from the start. During our stay, we had many nice conversations and June was able to give us lots of tips. Unfortunately, our ferry was canceled, so we had to extend our stay by two days. That wasn't a problem at all. The house itself is beautifully designed and has everything you need. The bedroom on the second floor has air conditioning, and the living and dining area downstairs is equipped with a simple kitchen, refrigerator, and fan. We were able to cook here every day. We didn't lack for anything, and I can recommend this house to anyone who wants to stay somewhere a little out of the way and quiet, but still close enough to Siquijor Town and San Juan. Siquijor is 5 minutes away and San Juan is a maximum of 15 minutes away by scooter. THANK YOU June, and we hope to see you again.
