Positive: Arriving and being met at the pier by beautiful Cambodian people was just the start to this amazing part of our holiday. Staff are exceptional. The menu is large and reasonable and is the oly place on the island we really trusted. Room was nice. Swimming pool is Huge. Would love to have stayed forever :)

Positive: The whitest, finest sand… and don’t worry about the brown bits! I’ll post a YouTube video about that, but in a nutshell, what you might see after rain is what is basically ‘jungle tea’ - not the nasty that some have speculated. The colour is a mixture of iron-rich soils and tannins from the organic matter that comes out of the jungle. All natural. Not harmful! As for Sara Resort, after a lot of research we felt it offered the best on the beach. A pool right on the sand, rooms that weren’t fancy, but looked solid and clean, and a friendly vibe. The place ticked all these boxes! The beach faces the sunrise, and we had sun in March until it dropped behind the island around 5:30pm. If you’ve looked at Google maps images of the area they don’t do it justice! Getting there… just ask the boat to drop you at Eden Pier, and there will be a tractor/trailer to get you to the resort.
Negative: Ask for more pillows if you prefer a deeper sleep… 😄

Positive: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sara resort. The facilities are great, food was delicious. Room was pretty basic but had air con which was good. Staff were all very kind. The gardens etc around the walkways were all very well kept.
Negative: We had one evening without any water which is to be expected & did eventually come back. The manager at the front didn’t seem so welcoming compared to the rest of the staff during our stay. Accommodation is very basic & had a lot of mosquitoes which can’t be helped.

Positive: What a lovely place. Great spot on the beach ( a bit windy this time of year) Lovely pool and bar. Top food (BBQ amazing) And some entertainment. Bungalow was fine for what i needed.

Negative: They arranged wrong ferry pick up for us, didn’t really help when we were „stuck“ at the wrong pier, beach sucks unfortunately, koh rong is way better
