Location and Views The resort offers stunning views and an unmatched atmosphere. We stayed in a premium villa with a balcony, and the sight from there was breathtaking. Mountains, valleys, rivers, and faraway landscapes stretched out before us. Watching the fog slowly roll in was an extraordinary experience. Arriving in the evening, we felt as if we had stepped into Wayanad or Munnar, thanks to the scenic beauty and fresh air. Booking and Check-in Our booking was last-minute, yet we were lucky to get premium cottages. The staff welcomed us warmly, and the check-in process was quick and smooth. We were served a refreshing passion fruit drink made from their in-house garden, which was a lovely touch. Resort Walkways and Accommodation Walking through the resort’s pathways was an experience in itself, with greenery and nature all around. Our room was cozy, comfortable, and private. It offered the perfect blend of relaxation and seclusion. Activities and Facilities The resort kept our kids fully engaged with a park, indoor games, and perhaps their most memorable activity — cycling through the resort’s scenic paths. The Tower Café is a must-visit here, offering panoramic views of the entire area from the watchtower. The swimming pool was well-maintained, and we loved that the kids’ park was attached to it, providing both convenience and privacy. Food Experience The food exceeded expectations. Chef’s special Luttapi Chicken and tandoor varieties were excellent. We also enjoyed Kanthari chicken, prawns, porotta, fried rice, and chilli chicken. The kids especially loved the noodles and chilli chicken. Overall Atmosphere The night ambiance was serene and magical, while early mornings brought refreshing views. If you are lucky, you might even spot a peacock dancing on your rooftop, which we did — a truly enchanting moment.

Positive: We stayed at Sandalmist Resort & Spa on August 13 and had a truly refreshing and enjoyable experience as a family. The whole place has a calm, welcoming vibe that makes it ideal for both adults and kids. Every part of the stay felt thoughtful and peaceful, with something for everyone to enjoy. Pool Time The pool was clean and relaxing. Our kid had a great time playing in the water, and it turned into one of our favourite parts of the stay. Food The food at Sandalmist was absolutely delicious. We especially loved the Venadu palkonju, which was full of flavour and very unique. We also enjoyed Kerala porotta, butter naan, chef’s special Luttapoi chicken, kanthari chicken, and fried rice. The breakfast was another highlight, offering a wide variety of traditional Kerala dishes that gave a perfect start to the day. Activities There were lots of things to do as a family. We had a great time cycling around the property, and the kids’ play room was well-kept and full of fun options for little ones. It was nice to have some relaxed time while our child stayed entertained. Forest Walk, Tower Café & a Beautiful Surprise The forest walk was quiet and refreshing, giving us a chance to enjoy nature together. Our child loved exploring the path. We also visited the Tower Café, which gave us a beautiful view of the greenery around and was a lovely spot to sit and relax. We were also lucky to get a chance to view a peacock dance, which was a magical and rare moment for all of us. Candlelight Dinner The candlelight dinner was beautifully arranged and felt special even as a family. The setting was peaceful, and the food made it even better. Morning View Waking up to the morning view from our cottage was a wonderful experience. Misty hills, birds chirping, and total calm—it was the perfect way to begin the day. Positive: The property is in a great location with beautiful views of the hills and forest. Since it was recently developed, the amenities appear new and well maintained. The staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is exceptional.

Negative: Room fresheners were not used, and there was an unpleasant smell upon entering the room. We also noticed small insects inside. While the staff were kind and polite, they lacked professionalism—I would suggest some training to improve service quality. We had requested two adjacent rooms, but the property layout does not support such arrangements. Additionally, most items on the menu card were unavailable.

Positive: The resort is located in a top of a hill which gives an incredible feeling of being in a top of the world in the middle of nature. you are away from mudane life and all is perfect to make your stay very pleasant. All is there to feel welcome. Staff are kind.
