Negative: Some laundry facilities would have been helpful. We had a sick child and needed to do some unexpected washing.

Positive: Location, well furnished and nice little touches like night lights, complimentary chocolate and emergency food rations amongst other things. Comfortable bed and sofas. Light log burning stove which warmed the whole house! Good shower, well stocked kitchen and lovely outside space - oh and feeding the birds!!

Positive: This is a superb cottage in the style of the former miners’ cottages. On a hill overlooking the village, with a delightful view over the trees in the valley. It is extremely comfortable, and has everything required for self catering. It felt like a home away from home and I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Negative: Only that our stay was over.
