In season guests will be able to raft into the property, should they desire. At the resort, all rooms come with a veranda and river and mountain views. Rooms are equipped with a private bathroom. Guests at Spashram RiverMountain Retreat will be able to enjoy activities like hiking, bird, butterfly or small mammal watching, rock climbing, white water rafting, rock climbing and wildlife safaris, dependent on the season. Yoga,Ayurvedic Massage, and Meditation are also offered. All require advance notice Parmarth Niketan Ashram is 20 mi from the resort, as is Deoprayag, the confluence of the true Ganges, while Triveni Ghat is 11 mi away. Jolly Grant Airport is 32 mi from the property. This property is on a mountain escarpment strategically located and extends all the way down to the Ganges(Ganga) and beach where recreation, aarti ceremony and picnic lunch bbq can be provided. Positive: This was a revisit after a couple of years.The greatly improved walking path was a pleasure to tread on as it was just the right amount of invigorating exertion! The village women still happily helped transport our baggage after receiving us at the gate with the traditional Tilak! We loved our tent set up with bio toilet in the forest grove on a slate floor, overlooking the pristine Mother Ganga a stones throw away with a privately accessed silver sands beach! The food was traditional as well as European and kashmiri and tandoori BBQ Just mouthwatering ! The drift wood log fire, guitarist coroner Dorjee and the yoga and Ayurveda dietician were great add ons. We checked out all the cottages and were impressed with their turn out and have decided to book one of these for our next visit! The night calls of the barking deer and sawing (mating call)of the leopard , as well as loud grunt of the wild boar were so thrilling! We even saw a sounder of wildboar dash across the Spashram perimeter at breakfast! The birds were amazing including the Indian Tree Pie, Paradise flycatcher , golden backed woodpecker ,and cormorants on the rock mid river..The Butterflies too were great to see and befitting the name.. Thank you Spashram and Spashram Staff!

Positive: The site is for those who are mobile of any age.The walking track and steps are like an outdoor gym and the slow meander provides a sense of anticipation as to what wonder awaits around the corner. The majestic views of the blue-green Ganga and its silver sands below are so inviting as one walks down the forested path. This does not suit those who do not like walking! But will convert them in no time The host was good enough to upgrade us from a tent to a room, namely the Cliff Hangar Honeymoon Cottage aka Ramana 2.This was snug and cozy with a stunning porch veranda overlooking the river and mountain range across and perched right above the beach. The freshly painted room and bathroom had large windows for great riverviews, and a floor of slate tiles. While not perfectly smooth, the slate gave a wonderful rugged feel. . The room above us, the Writers and Artist's Retreat with vintage style red terracotta flooring and a large bay window and French double doors. Sit out deck. It was a pleasure to meet like-minded guests staying there, we all had a fantastic Indian lunch on the open-air deck. Dinner was on the verandah above the Leopard Longhouse -Ramana1 with a BBQ and driftwood fire. The engineering marvel of building into these craggy spaces without a motor road was inspiring and we loved the combo of rugged comfort. The numerous trees were great for birdlife and we heard these at dawn and dusk and we hear animal sounds in the surrounding forest. After breakfast on departure day (one night is too short a period here in Hindsigh), we took a pleasant raft trip across the river to the old pilgrim trail and went out with thermos and sandwiches for an hour's hike to the Bhairon temple. All in all a most memorable stay in a natural paradise but too short!

Negative: We had absolutely no complaints. This was one of the best stays we stayed at. Thanks to the awesome hosts, we loved every bit of our stay :)

Positive: Breakfast was cooked to order. Had a wonderful outdoor settings overlooking The Ganges. Birds chirping and water rumbling. Had the honour of having sumptuous meals with the owner of the property Mr. Inderjit Singh who is a renound environmentlist and conservationists.

Negative: It was more than our expectations.

Negative: value for money. additionally the property on the opposite bank is too loud with music and peace abs quiet was difficult even at night. food service is a little slow. :)

Positive: The place is set up in the middle of untouched nature and it has a private beach next to the Holy Ganga. This place is for adventurous people which are looking for a peaceful place and love nature and a little bit of hiking. The terrain of the accommodation is very steep and it requires around 5-10 minutes of hiking to reach the accommodation. The owner and staff are very nice and they will do the extra mile to fulfill your wishes, but they will charge you for every piece of it 😊 Accommodation is private and peaceful. The room is simple but warm. The only disadvantage that we had was the water. While we had a shower warm water has got consumed in 5 minutes. For us, it will be an unforgettable place because we got engaged here.

Positive: I knew this trip was going to be most valuable time of my travels. Not only did I get to the holiest of the cities - Hrishikesh but I got the spot (my own riverbed) next to mystical Ganges. I won’t give out more than you should know about this very tucked away space called the Spashram. Spashram is the one and only place where you can watch the mesmerising Ganga, spend peaceful hours in her holy arms- it’s quite a grand affair. Spashram is hidden, sheltered with warmth, care and comfort. Our stay at spashram was amazing. The place and city has its own heavenly charm but the owner at spashram made sure that the essence of all that was maintained. It’s a rare find where everything was gold. Offering a good accommodation, serving some amazing grill dishes with roaring fire, the food was superb -beautiful local ingredients, chosen with care and perfectly cooked. The hospitality extended to us right from the time of booking to the time we checked out by Mr.Singh was amazing. Mr. Singh was very attentive to our needs and tells the best of life stories. Definitely recommend this place at the same time hope it stays undisturbed and serene.
