Positive: Quaint heritage old Bungalow Rustic feel Very clean Comfortable Super staff...very helpful amd polite caretaker (Santosh) who gave excellent advice about Matheran including how to come from the Car Parking area and tips on how to avoid scams by horse riders etc. Good home cooked meals..had an authentic wholesome feel to them. Really good service. Property is green and quiet. Very peaceful

Negative: It's not air-conditioned (but that is known before you book)..so it could be a bit warm in the summer months. It's a 25-30 minute walk from the main market area..(again that could be viewed positively as well)

Positive: The hosts are absolutely amazing! The food was amazing and our room was very comfortable. The location is perfect as you are at the end of the village so away from the noise but you are close enough to walk to restaurants and walking trails. We had an amazing stay.

Negative: Saffron Stays are impossible to communicate with either with their phone number, email or via Booking.com. However, the day before we arrive, someone communicated with me on WhatsApp and was very helpful. After staying at that property, we stayed at the different Saffron Stays property where we had huge issues so because of all the problems I had with the "Head Office" I would never stay in a Saffron Stays again :(

Summary: Parsi Manor is fantastic... Saffron Stays are horrible...

Positive: Tranquil stay in the forest with historic furniture and very friendly staff. The breakfast and dinner was healthy and delicious.

Negative: The were a few power outages and the wifi & LTE connection was often weak. In the city, connection is much better and stable

Positive: Caretakers Santosh & his wife are great hosts. Excellently food preparation by them.

Negative: Basic toiletries can be provided especially when you charge 10k per night. Front space of the bungalow can be developed and utilised, a swing or a sitting area can be built. There is not much play area for the kids.

Positive: Great location. Very clean rooms. Lovely food made by the caretaker couple Santosh and Kunda.

Negative: Fact that we had to wait for the check-in. Clearly the caretaker couple looks extremely overworked having to take care of practically everthing from housekeeping to F&B and overall upkeep. They would really do with hrlp from at least couple more staff members.

Positive: Great location, easy walking to many of the view points. Secluded and away from the market with a private feel. Loved the porch area and the staff are brilliant!

Negative: Difficult to dry clothes on the racks, but it was the monsoon season!

Summary: Fantastic homely feel, brilliant food which the staff will cater to your needs. Great location and lovely scenery!
