Positive: the staff at the desk was just amazing, we had a bit of an issue with the payment and they still let us check in and pay an hour later. the room was clean and good and there was nice hot water in the shower and the hotel is placed right in the market which is amazing.
Negative: a bit of a communication issue with the staff in the kitchen, but overall its not what we took away from the experience

Negative: Avoid Matheran for Weekend trip Save your time and money! The ghat road is a nightmare with 3–4 hours of heavy bumper-to-bumper traffic. Do not attempt this drive in a low-power car. While the resort's outside ambiance is nice, the actual rooms are a disaster and absolutely not worth ₹13k a night. Our room smelled terrible, and the sofa had no cover and was infested with termites. To make things worse, there was no hot water during a cold, rainy weekend, and basic amenities like hand wash were missing. Even getting coffee and sugar pouches required constant follow-up. Lastly, the food was disappointing, as the vegetable dishes had a strange, overly sweet gravy. Overall, a highly frustrating stay. Not recommended at all!
