Our place is a unique style duplex with this 1 bedroom ( 633 sq ft) unit located at street level while the other unit sits above and is a 3 bedroom. Both with separate entrance. If there are guest staying above you will hear foot steps and water. We ask those guests to be minful of footfall. The apartment has an open floor plan with newly remodeled kitchen which opens up to the living room area. It is very comfortable for 2 guests, or a family of 4. To accomodate extra guests, there is a folding bed with memory foam pad and/or 18" queen size auto inflate air mattress. New bathroom and tub with grab bars installed. The bedroom has a king size bed, sits at the opposite end of the space, near but not connected to the bathroom. Our beach place has been in our family for over 50 years and although we have always found it cozy, a recent remodel adds extra light and comfort, very enjoyable. We love that you can hear the roar of the Big Dipper Roller Coaster, the shouts from the riders, barking sea lions and the occasional crashing of the surf. Also walk to the Beach and Boardwalk and to our favorite restaurants.

Summary: We frequently visit our son who lives in Santa Cruz, and we've typically stayed in hotels. We decided to try a Vrbo this time, and are so glad we did. This home is just lovely. It's beautifully decorated with beach and seashore theme appointments. We just loved the vibe. The home is spotless and has everything you can think of that you might need for a beach vacation. This is a spot that is ideal for a small family. It's a very short walk to both the beach and the boardwalk. You can faintly hear the excitement of the roller coaster! The bed was comfy, and the living room and kitchen area are nicely laid out. There is an very nice outside sitting area that we didn't use because the weather was chilly during our stay, but it would be a nice spot for a glass of wine by the fire pit. Communication with the host was outstanding. I highly recommend this spot. We'll definitely be back.

Summary: What a beautiful little apartment! Up-dated with modern amenities and so clean........spotless! The space was perfect for my husband and I as we visited the area - even stayed in one night and had our own little dinner while we watched "The Lost Boys" movie which was filmed nearby. The owner Susan was the perfect host, always staying connected and answered any questions we had via text. The bed and linens were so comfy, even the bathroom had an amazing shower. Never had time to use the little outdoor space, but how relaxing it looks with the mini fire pit and patio lights! Would recommend it for small parties....living room area is very large, but perfect for a couples get away. Thank you so much Susan for sharing your family's legacy and renting to us!

Summary: Had the family stay here for a quick weekend getaway to Santa Cruz. Great communication with host prior to arrival. Perfect location of the small cozy apartment as it’s a few min. walk to the boardwalk and nearby walking distance to food spots. Definitely will be returning.

Summary: It is a very beautiful cozy house, we loved our 2 day stay and wished we could have booked a longer stay. The property owner was very easy to communicate, she sent emails about the details about the property, check in details and everything regarding other rules. I will definitely recommend this place.

Summary: We really enjoyed this condo and its location. It’s a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk and there are good coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. The check in and out process was easy. We will be looking to stay here again.

Summary: A just about perfect little apartment. Snug, but very comfortable for two—and big enough to accommodate a half dozen relatives who swung by for a couple of hours and a bite to eat. Full of thoughtful and excellent extras. Very quiet neighborhood, very convenient to the main town and boardwalk.

Summary: What a fun little place with an easy walk to the Boardwalk! Our teen slept on the pull-out and the two adults had the king bed. Great accommodations and I enjoyed sipping coffee on the outdoor patio. Our host was quick to respond during our stay and the listing is clean with cool modern decor. For the area, a covered carport was a bonus too.
