Glanatnaw is a restored Irish Cottage and Barn with stunning views over the valley and hills, just outside of Bantry. Winding your way out of Bantry, you find Glanatnaw tucked away up a private drive way in a secluded and peaceful spot.
Sleeping up to eight people in four bedrooms, this is an idyllic spot for a family holiday or holiday with friends. The buildings have been restored to provide open plan space in the converted barn, with views over the valley. There is a double bedroom in the barn with the remaining cosy bedrooms in the restored cottage. Whilst very comfortable Glanatnaw if very much a rural retreat (no television or wifi), however our previous guests have loved its rustic nature. A perfect base to explore the local area, from bustling market towns, to wild stretches of coastline and stunning walks in the hills.

Summary: Thoughtfully equipped welcoming space in charming location. Perfect for a digital detox in the country with all the conveniences of Bantry just 12 mins away. Really enjoyed the space, both inside and out. Host was easy to interact with. It was all very straightforward. Perfect haven.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. There were 3 adults and 4 children and it was a great base for west cork. The only thing that disappointed was the weather!!!! Charlotte is a great host and very quick replies to any queries we had. Highly recommend.

Summary: What a beautiful farmhouse. Utterly peaceful with amazing views. Thank you Charlotte for allowing us to stay in your house. Myself, my husband and the boys thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Exceptionally clean with a cleaning service mid holiday also offered. Close enough to beaches and to Skib and Bantry, but also a special place to “get away from it all”. Than you again.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay in Charlotte's home. Charlotte was great to deal with - responded very quickly and really helpful with local information and tips. The house was spotless - with lovely quality bedlinen -had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the style and the decor. Great utility room for all the outdoor gear. We enjoyed the spacious barn & the views and the cows peering in at us from the field below in the mornings! A wonderful space for a relaxing get-away. Thank you Charlotte.

Summary: Very nice and spacious house, clean on arrival. Enough cutlery and dishes for a big family, well equiped. Great beds for 8 people. Dogs paradise.

Summary: We arrived after just one wrong turn to be greeted by the lovely Bridie and a welcoming committee of horse, foal, and donkey. Sold straight away to the 3 girls and my young nephew. So that kept us busy for a few hours...Photo sessions carrots etc. And then we saw the barn with its wonderful kitchen/ living rooms and the rest of the tastefully furnished and fitted house. The sun was beating down and continued to do so for the while week. Over 20 degrees...and that in West Cork.....incredible! Great base for our trips to the Beara penninsula with its most beautiful beach in Garnish, but also Ballyrisode. Trips to Garnish Island, Ewe Gardens, Sherpa Head penninsula and sailing to a wee island in Roaringwater Bay. Great sleeps for all...No TV and WiFi for a week with three teens. We (adults) survived and they enjoyed themselves enormously! Thanks to you both Charlotte and Bridie!

Summary: The cottage and barn accommodation exceeded our expectations. We loved everything about it. We were four women friends travelling together and the accommodation was perfect for us. The barn space was perfect for us to get together and share meals, and enjoy the views after long days exploring the area. We fell in love with this part of West Cork. Such a beautiful place with many things to do. Had a wonderful night at Ma Murphy's, and had some great walks around the area. Loved it!

Summary: This property is very rural, but stunning, the accommodation is finished to a very high standard and offers you everything that you need to settle in and relax. The location is central to many activities that filled our week. I would recommend this property and would happily book again if/when we visit Ireland again. The backdrop of the countryside gave us many beautiful images of Mother Nature at her best.....

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay here. Great location to discover the area. We were so impressed with the cottage, great living/kitchen/dining room with beautiful views and sunsets. Really easy to cook as everything you could possibly need is available in the very well equipped kitchen. Fabulous food available in the bantry area, the local fish monger is excellent and the organic grocery store Organico was a lovely place to shop. Also couldn’t fault the SuperValu. We didn’t miss the tv or WiFi, there’s plenty of games and books provide. Lovely bedrooms, particularly the one in the barn, loved the bath. So handy to have the utility area. Both ourselves and our dogs enjoyed the outside garden. There’s plenty of tips provided on places to visit. Our favourite days were spent on Ballyrisode Beach near Toormore. Such a beautiful place and lovely for swimming with the children (ok the water was a tad cold but once the wetsuit was on we didn’t care). Overall this was a wonderful place to stay for a holiday and we have plenty of lovely memories to take with us. Thank you very much xxx
