This historic rustic log cabin built in 1953 sits near the foot of Pikes Peak, America’s Mountain and Pike National Forest.
It has been updated and restored.
Though the cabin sits at about 7800' next to Pike National Forrest and is usually a comfortable temperature inside, we have added Central Air Conditioning for some of those hot summer days and for those coming from the high summer heat states, rest assured you will be cool at our cabin.
It has the original pecan hardwood floors, tongue and groove indoor pine siding and imbues the essence of Colorado Mountain living.
Kitchen lighting has been updated and lights added for ease of preparing and cooking meals.
Central Air Conditioning cools the cabin quietly and ceiling fans in the bedrooms help bring in the cool fresh mountain air at night.
There is plenty of "off street parking" at our cabin for multiple vehicles and motorcycle or ATV trailers or both. One bay of our two car garage might be available for ATVs, motorcycles or kayaks, Please inquire if interested, it is not available for vehicles.
The 1/2 acre lot is lush with flora & fauna, birds and deer are always around.
In the winter season when the there is snowfall the roads to the cabin are plowed and well maintained.
Extras! Extras! Extras! Area rugs all have extra thick padding, 500+ thread count sheets, bathtub/shower has the 1/4 circle shower curtain rod for added room when showering, fog-less vanity mirror, ceiling fans in the bedrooms to bring in the cool fresh mountain air, closet lighting, dimmer switches on most lighting.
Very Strong WiFi.
WiFi is fast. Recently clocked at 352 Mbps. Enough to handle multiple devices streaming HD videos, video conferencing, Zoom and gaming at the same time.
Large smart 55" TV with numerous apps.

Sitting on half an acre in a small mountain community of other homes, our cabin backs up to 95 acres of the Wallace Open Space Preserve and beyond that is 500,000+ acres of Pike National Forest with hiking trails, lakes, reservoirs and Pikes Peak.
Most properties next to us, which you can see are also on 1/2 an acre or so.
The wrap around deck with patio table and sectional patio sofa is great for listening to songbirds, wildlife, deer and sipping hot chocolate or a glass of wine.

Summary: Picture perfect cabin tucked in the side of the mountain in an adorable little town. Views are amazing. Hiking out the back door. Close to Colorado Springs. House is exceptionally set up with everything you would expect and much more. Kitchen is very well stocked with many many dishes. Linens, towels were top quality. Host was a book with everything you could ever want laid out for guests. Highly recommend.

Summary: My family and I stayed for a few days shortly after Christmas. The cabin was very nicely decorated for Christmas which was an unexpected but nice surprise. It made the stay much more cozy and relaxing to finish out the year. The host was pretty responsive and answered any questions that we had. The cabin was well stocked, clean, and very nice. If we visit the area again, we will definitely be back.

Summary: This cabin was better than I imagined! The host was very attentive to any questions. There is anything you could think of if you forgot something. I definitely couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay! We love to hike so we were even able to go out the back and hike the trails. We had deer also come and lay in the front yard!! Perfect vacation!

Summary: The first time using Vrbo and it turned out SO good! Now I don't know if it's typical for hosts to put it the effort that mine did but they really make sure you have a wonderful time and I can not recommend this place and this host enough! We are going to keep them in mind if/when we come back! This was the best trip with the best cabin in the best place! We could not be any more happy! It was perfect for our anniversary trip alone and we even said it would be perfect to bring our daughter next time! Absolutely in love and didn't want to leave. Thank you!

Summary: The cabin location was secluded and quiet. The large porches were wonderful for sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful fall weather. The cabin was so well stocked and everything was in great working order. We had a lovely time!

Summary: This cabin was more then we ever expected, it was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen even has a dishwasher to use after you have cooked in the fully stocked kitchen. We have never stayed at a place like this and i am sure we will be disappointed in any others that we might stay in. To top it all off when we were getting ready to get in the car to go home the biggest most beautiful rainbow bid us farewell.
