Tucked away on the side of Pikes Peak yet easily accessible year round, Pike's Peak Chalet is conveniently located less than 15 minutes from Manitou Springs and only 20 minutes from Colorado Springs. This rustic cabin has all the modern technologies including a smart TV, high speed internet with WiFi and a landline phone.
The spacious living room with a cozy wood burning fireplace provides guests with a very comfortable setting to enjoy visiting or sitting quietly and reading a good book. While preparing meals in the well equipped kitchen which includes a microwave, a dishwasher, and a gas stove, guests will be entertained by squirrels, chipmunks and deer amidst towering pine trees as they play just outside the windows. There's a gas BBQ Grill outside and a fire pit for roasting s'mores on those cool summer evenings. Each bedroom is furnished with a comfortable queen size bed and there is a queen pullout sofa with a memory foam mattress in the living room. From the deck enjoy the mountain views and the sounds of Fountain Creek, or take a short walk to the trail system that leads to town or up the mountain. Also, soak in the newly installed Hot Tub after a long day of playing!
This cabin makes a great home base for trips to many major tourist attractions including: The Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, The U.S. Air Force Academy, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Seven Falls, Green Mountain Falls Pool, the U.S. Olympic Training Center and many more. We regret that all furry friends must be left at home. The owner is allergic to animals and uses the cabin often. The access to our home may be challenging for guests who have a difficult time with stairs. Three parking spaces are available at the street level.

Summary: Well-equipped and comfortable home. Great location with many hiking trails and activities nearby. Owner was very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely stay there again!

Summary: Myself, my husband and grown daughter and son throughly enjoyed our stay at John's mountain side home in Cascade Colorado!It does have a lot of steps, but the view is incredible! The home was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our 2 day stay while we visited the nearby attractions of Pike's Peak, the Royal Gorge Train, and the Royal Gorge Bridge/activities.It was very nice coming home to a nice soak in a well maintained, clean hot tub.My daughter saw an elk standing in the front yard one of the evenings while on the front porch.I also loved how comfy the beds were.The bed sheets were super soft and clean, and it was a nice feeling after a nice hot shower at the end of the day.If we get a chance to get back that way, we will do our best to book the same home.You won't be disappointed if you stay at this home!

Summary: The property was beautiful, nice and cozy. We had deer visit us in the yard twice during our stay. The hot-tub is a wonderful addition to the home, I think we spent more of our time in there than in the house! Overall I would 10/10 stay here again. Any problems / questions we had were answered in a timely manner!

Summary: We loved it! It's very cozy, the views and surrounding area is so beautiful and the hot tub was so relaxing. This property is an excellent jumping off point for so many places. Hosts were great! Our only feedback is that the linens were super strong smelling. We are sensitive to this and it would be amazing if the linens were washed in unscented. Otherwise wverything was perfect!
