Positive: A picture-perfect stay away from the crowds and chaos. The property offers beautiful views on both sides of the hills, making it both scenic and unique. It also has an excellent café, Folklore, so you won't have to venture far to enjoy good food or coffee while in Aizawl.

Positive: The location is amazing. the property is really thoughtfully created and therefore beautiful. the staff are really helpful in booking you cabs, suggesting places/cafes to visit and striving to make your stay comfortable, by making available everything within their means for your convenience.

Negative: the restaurant menu is really restricted. there is a lot of improvement that can happen in this context. lentils were part of breakfast, lunch and dinner, no variation in the breakfast menu for different days. no option for black tea. we faced a couple of difficult situations. A group of very young college goers were staying on the last day of our stay. they put on very loud music late at night and the staff could not take any step to control them. the next morning we woke up to no water and the staff had no idea until we woke one of them up with great difficulty at about 7 am. certain sops should be put in place by the owners with check lists so that these things do not happen.

Summary: overall we loved looking at the mountains from our large glass doors opening to our balconies.

Positive: I liked the location much because it's far from the city and the traffic in Shillong might make it a bit costly and transport might be difficult to negotiate. I liked it as I was looking for something away from the city, quiet, great view and some walks/runs. The restaurant was very nice and provided fresh cooked food. The cafe was really good. If you are looking for greater accessibility then the city might be the option for you. The time taken to get here is one you have to make peace with. The property owners are also very accommodating.

Negative: Nothing specific I did not like. It's an upcoming property and I am sure they are going to make it better.

The location is convenient and peaceful, making it a great place to relax . Service was prompt, and the overall atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Excellent value for money. I would highly recommend Ruki Lodge to anyone visiting the area and would gladly stay here again.
