Positive: the breakfast was supurb,, we payed for an evening meal which was spot on. the hosts were great and so were the locals. the resident dog was also very friendly. we would definatlely stay there again. top marks

Positive: Friendly and welcoming hosts. The location was perfect for our long journey stop off. So much so that we booked again for our next jaunt up north. The pub is great with a range of real ales and food on offer. The locals were equally friendly and welcoming.

Negative: I honestly can't think there was anything we didn't like.

Positive: TBH we would have given brilliant for the rooms but my daughter had the single room and was not so impressed. The double rooms are FAB! Very good internet and a FANTASTIC breakfast. Staff were really helpful and friendly above and beyond. Good lighting in rooms.

Negative: Difficult to get a taxi in the morning to leave. Having to plan breakfast the night before was challenging and gluten free bread would be appreciated.

Summary: Love Inn with friendly staff. An altogether enjoyable stay.

Positive: This was my first time at the Royal Oak .Lovely old style pub with food . The landlord was very good and obliging .Good choice of drinks and food choice was good Pub Fayre .Prices very reasonable and plenty of choice . The Chalets are very spacious good size bedroom and En-suite . This is certainly on my list of places to stay

Negative: A larger quilt than the bed size would have been very helpful and also a chair in the room would be useful to enable work to be done

Positive: The bed was comfy and there was a good selection of hot drinks and biscuits available in the room. The location was perfect with plenty of parking, and the pub itself was full of character and friendly. There were 4 ales on hand pump and several alcohol-free options. I didn't realise breakfasts were offered, so it was a bonus to be offered a menu with a variety of options, allowing a budget breakfast if needed.

Negative: A mirror in the bathroom would be a very useful addition. I'd have appreciated an extra blanket, as the heating wasn't on and it felt quite chilly until I'd been in bed a little while. It was fine once I warmed up.
