Positive: We had the most incredible stay at Rosie’s Barn, tucked away near beautiful Ullswater. From start to finish, it was peaceful, luxurious, and utterly relaxing. Every single detail had been considered — from the high-quality linens and thoughtful welcome touches to the beautifully curated interiors that made the space feel both homely and special. The barn itself is immaculate, with stunning views and easy access to scenic walks and the lake. Whether we were sipping coffee in the morning sun or unwinding after a day exploring the Lakes, it felt like a little slice of heaven. It’s clear that so much love and care has gone into making Rosie’s Barn a truly memorable place to stay. We can’t recommend it highly enough — and we’re already dreaming of coming back. An easy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from us!

Positive: Absolutely beautiful location and the accommodation itself was the best we've stayed in! Not one thing was left out. We even had chocolates on the bed and mints on the bedside table. There was also sweets, chocolates & marshmallows included which were a bonus! The Cumbrian breakfast was excellent too, and the cooking facilities are great. The bonus was the beautiful stand alone bath surrounded by candles and fairy lights.

Negative: Nothing! We had the best time and are already planning to come back.

Summary: Comfortable bed, beautiful views, and excellent hospitality.

Positive: Loved the cosiness and feel of the place, perfect for a romantic weekend away. On top of this, this place was by far THE best and most well stocked cottage we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. I don't think we actually needed to bring anything with us aside from a change of clothes! Loved the bath on the first floor! The location was just stunning. We were even treated to some beautiful, sunny weather, which is a first for us. And finally, our kind host, who was so attentive and caring, even waiting for an additional 6 or so hours after the time we were supposed to have arrived there, courtesy of the dreaded M6 which was heavily congested and caused us to be massively late, and kept in communication with us the entire time throughout that ordeal. Truly a Saint!

Negative: I'd say that the only two things I didn't like, is the fact that we weren't able to use the stove in the living room, as we're not experienced match lighters (for which a lovely glass container helpfully supplied us with) but we couldn't get them to ignight without either stripping the match of it's flammable coating or breaking the match in an attempt to light it. Another issue we has, which is a common problem apparently, was that the ceilings were so low, that if you attempted to use the kitchen facilities (namely the gas hob or oven, though I suspect that the oven is the main culprit.) The smoke and Heat sensors would blare and scream down your ears, which left them ringing for some time. But unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about this, as it's a legal requirement. So, I think if I ever stayed here again, I would probably just bring some cereal along and stick to just using the microwave instead.

Positive: Wow, what a place! I stayed here for one night with my wife as a stop over, we wished we could have stayed for longer! We arrived wet and tired from driving and walking all day. Rosie's Barn was just what we needed. Greeted with smiles from Suzanne, who showed us around, we lit the logburner, which is a fantastic cosy addition to the barn. Then showered in the exceptionally clean bathroom, shower had great pressure, and plenty of hot water! We cooked a meal for dinner, there was every utensil you could possibly need. We then crashed out for an evening on the sofa watching the TV and the fire. The bed is huge! And very comfortable, with extra throws if needed! We had ingredients left to cook ourselves a lovely breakfast. Everything has been thought of to make Rosies Barn 5 star, lots of little touches that make this place so special.
