Summary: We stayed at Roe Valley Resort for a weekend with our 3 and 4-year-old children and overall were very impressed. Our family suite was extremely spacious and gave us plenty of room to relax. While some areas of the hotel are currently undergoing maintenance, the hotel itself is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. The facilities for children were excellent and our girls absolutely loved their stay. The pool was a particular highlight, especially as the shallow area was suitable for our 4-year-old to comfortably stand in. There were lots of activities available for families, which made for a great weekend away. The main disappointment was dining. It seems essential to book restaurants well in advance. We managed to get a late dinner slot on Friday evening after arriving, but were unable to get a table in the hotel on Saturday night. We ended up ordering room service, which arrived more like a takeaway than hotel dining, served in disposable packaging rather than on plates. We were also disappointed that the children's water jet ski activity was completely sold out, and the pool waterslide closed intermittently whenever the lifeguard took breaks. Despite these issues, we had a very enjoyable stay and the children had a fantastic time. With a little more capacity around dining and activities, the experience would have been even better.

Summary: We were at a wedding check in was perfect and the whole day was perfect. The food was delicious. Rooms are beautiful and clean but most importantly the bed was so comfortable and lovely soft sheets. I would like a room with a walk in shower though rather than over bath, but wouldn’t put me off staying again.

Summary: Had a lovely overnight trip, but was really disappointed I wasn’t informed before travel regarding the maintenance going on. Spa and pool closed, golf restaurant closed, bar closed for refurbishment, did speak to staff and was credited with £50 on my room account. Can’t praise the staff enough as they can only do what they can in the circumstances. Will definitely not be back until all complete. One other thing was the temporary bar was understaffed and very expensive. Rooms are great, clean and comfortable.

Summary: The staff were fantastic. Couldn’t fault them and they were always very helpful. Since Galgorm have taken over and made it ‘family friendly’ it has turned tacky. They need to either revamp and modernise the hotel for family’s and kids or else reinstate it to its former glory. A helter skelter in the car park, a bouncy castle in one of the large rooms make it feel like a very expensive kids adventure play area. £500 for 2 nights and not stated anywhere that the main bar is closed and only a ‘pop up’ bar with 2 beers on draft and a few spirits. It’s sad to see such an amazing place go downhill so much

Summary: Overall a lovely stay in Roe Valley Resort. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. We asked if we could use the swimming pool facilities after check out to which they said no but offered us complimentary late check out so that we could use them before leaving. The breakfast was lovely - we were hoping to have breakfast in Fratelli’s but we assume with the hotel being super busy (kids off school for Easter and a wedding on) we had our breakfast in one of the event suites which we think was an over flow room. It was Buffet style and plenty to choose from. Pool was great and room was clean and exactly as described. Some parts of hotel needing modernised but you can see they are in the middle of doing works and everything that Galgorm touches is perfect so we can’t wait to visit in the future to see what more they have done. We had dinner in the coach house - only negative was my meal (honey chilli chicken) was very bland and meat very tough however my husband loved his meal. I’m sure if I had of chosen another dish, I would have enjoyed it more but my only critique to add.
