Summary: Very unique property. Staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful with recommendations on restaurants in the area. Would highly recommend this property. Only a 10 minute walk to the Malecon.

Summary: My room was next to some kind of machine that made noze all night and I could not sleep for 4 days. No window outside, that should have been information before. The area around is okej and the rooftop has a really nice pool and the bar staff was very great.

Summary: If you are looking for boutique, don't look any further. A quaint, unique hotel just 4-5 blocks from the beach. Amazing views/sunsets from the rooftop pool. Jesus, the bartender, is an absolute gem! Very kind, accommodating and a wealth of information. Restaurants nearby to mention, cause if you don't go, you are missing out...Mi Cafe for breakfast (cash only), Tacos Sonorita Olas Atlas for spectacular tacos (cash only), Pipi's is yummy and fun with some local entertainment. All within walking distance.

Summary: Riviera Del Rio was the perfect place to stay. The photos do not do the hotel justice it's unique in a town full of modern western decorated airbnbs and all inclusive resorts with identical rooms. this hotel has personality. The staff felt like long lost friends Rigo at the front and the fabulous Jesus at the rooftop pool bar give a warm fun infectious flair. Jesus makes the best guacamole right in front of you with fresh ingredients. The rooftop infinity pool heated + 24hrs offers a breathtaking view no matter the time of day. Have breakfast in another unique room or pay a little extra to have it as room service. We stayed in 3 different rooms during our stay Medusa and Rasputin were perfect with balconies. Mariposa had an enormous tub. the second pool and hot tub were nice but we spent a majority of time at the rooftop with Jesus and a margarita. Well priced and enchanting we won't stay anywhere else when we return.

Summary: The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Jesus gave lots of great recommendations and he makes an excellent cocktail too. It's away from the noise and action but still very walkable to everything. Highly recommend staying here

Summary: Overall: This property is not for everyone. (We stayed at the Cortez suite; we're a family of four from Alberta, Canada and stayed there for 3 nights and 4 days) LIKED -The staff were great they were really helpful, gave recommendations, and were very accommodating. They granted my request to have a little something for my Mom's 50th birthday. -The location is superb tho it still kinda "far" relatively so I won't recommend this for those who don't want to walk. -The rooftop pool is good, it is also a plus that it is open 24 hours so you can swim anytime; welcome drinks could be better but they do the job and the bartender is a fun guy. -The design is okay but honestly it is not for everyone. My brother and my Dad didn't like the rustic design because it was a bit dated and they look dirty. -They store your luggage even after the check out time. DISLIKE -As mentioned the place looks dated and worn out, one of the washrooms in the Cortez suite (the one below) had clogged tub which was really icky; the washroom on top had really low pressure. -The extra bed was not as comfortable and the sheets and towels were not as clean.
