Summary: This cottage is much cuter than the pictures show. The setting on the river is beautiful and relaxing! We stayed for the Holland Tulip festival and the setting was the perfect retreat after a long day of walking and people. The house is comfortable and relaxing and provided everything we needed for our stay!

Summary: This was a great place to stay. I can imagine that in the summer, folks who want to get on the river or sit around the fire pit would be so happy. We stayed when it snowed hard so we didn't do any outdoor activities. The owner was amazing. She attentive and responsive. The only issue we had was with the dogs in the neighborhood. There is a sign when one pulls onto the road that there are a bunch of dogs who live there, which isn't a problem if one isn't allergic to dogs. What we didn't expect was that they would bark incessantly near midnight or at the crack of dawn. Dogs can't help but being dogs, but if you are a light sleeper, bring headphones. There is no internet and the antenna only picks up the Grand Rapids PBS channel. They provided a lot of movies so that is good. If you have a hotspot, you should be fine to jump online or stream something as you unwind at the end of the night.

Summary: My family of 4 and 2 friends stayed for GVSU family weekend. It was a nice place to retreat close to campus. It was a very clean and quiet place on the river. My son and I enjoyed the kayaks. Host was very nice and had great communication:)
