Summary: We had a wonderful moms/dayghters weekend away. The house was perfect for us as 3 moms and daughters - each having our own space and the college girls getting the bunk room to share stories and giggle as much as they desired. It’s a great location for visiting wineries and relaxing after a long semester/fall.

Summary: House was nice, good layout for multiple families. We enjoyed using the properties amenities like pool, hot tub and trails. We paid to have the breakfast delivered and it was good. The property could benefit from a deep clean: floors were filthy and dust in bathrooms. Kitchen could be better stocked with serving utensils like tongs, spatulas, etc.

Summary: We stayed over the weekend with four adults and five teenagers (14-17). First, the property is exactly as described in the listing. It has everything you need and tucked in a beautiful area off Lake Michigan. You can be in New Buffalo or downtown Union Pier within a few minutes. There are hiking trails, rental kayaks/canoes, swimming pool and many other things to do on the property. Specific to the house, we stayed in the Rivers Edge and it was clean, updated and has everything you need. Plenty of room. And the bunk room was amazing for the kids. Finally, the owners and operators of the property are always in contact to ensure you have everything you need. Extremely helpful. Highly recommend this property.

Summary: Had a wonderful stay at The Farm! The staff was always kind and courteous. The pool was a nice size and we mostly had it all to ourselves. The house had plenty of room, the layout was good, we had 2 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog. The bathrooms were very nice. There were plenty of towels and sheets. The kids had fun walking the garden area and picking vegetables and fruits. The gas grill and the fire pit were nice in the backyard, we made smores and roasted hotdogs. The location was good, short trip to New Buffalo and Union Pier with lots to do.

Summary: My family recently joined together, at the Creekside Cottage, from several parts of the country. The space was perfect for gathering and spending time together. Two bedrooms have ensuite baths - both very nicely remodeled. Third bedroom has bath just adjacent. The kitchen and main living area has rustic painted wood floors and a wonderful island for putting together puzzles. The bunk room was very cool and exciting for my young nephew. The pool and hot tub are clean and inviting. The ability to swim in Indiana, in February, was amazing. The pool lights made for a lovely evening setting. We enjoyed watching the chickens as well as the deer in the woods across the river. We really wanted to use the new pool table but did not make it happen this trip. Julie and Eric were helpful and kind. We all would love to see the property in the spring / summer to see the gardens come alive. Close to nice dining and Lake Michigan. Would definitely recommend.

Summary: This cottage has so much to offer! There is a huge family room space with seating for so any. The big, open kitchen worked great for family meals. Everything was clean and there was nothing we were in need of. The grounds were unbelievable. Lots of space to walk around and several hiking trails with great views. We saw so many deer! The barn and the pool were a huge bonus, especially for a winter get away. We will definitely be heading back!

Summary: First the positives...Julie and Eric were always there for our questions. The staff was always kind and courteous. The pool was a nice size and we mostly had it all to ourselves. The house had plenty of room, the layout was good, we had 7 adults, 6 kids and 1 infant. The bathrooms were very nice. There were plenty of towels and sheets. The kids had fun walking the garden area and picking vegetables and fruits. The gas grill and the fire pit were nice in the backyard, we made smores and roasted hotdogs. Tried to walk the trails but was impossible due to the mosquitoes and spider webs (even with spraying bug spray on yourself). That is just the nature of being on a farm I guess. The location was good, short trip to New Buffalo with lots to do. The things that were slight issues were...2 chairs in the living room area were in need of replacement, when you sat down you sunk so far down you could feel the coils. The front bedroom had a musty smell at times as well as the bunk room. The bed in the front bedroom made very loud squeaky noises every time you moved, don't know if it was the mattress or the wooden frame it was on. We cooked a lot, the kitchen was equipped with lots of dishes but if you plan on cooking like we did you may have to bring some favorite items. The most concerning issues...while at the pool area bees were gathering by the hot tub steps. Two people (one a child) were stung. We did address this with Julie and Eric. They did address it quickly, but because they didn't want to harm the bees, they cleaned the area, made sure there wasn't a nest lurking beneath the steps and tub, and used a natural remedy. But, they came back. I felt like their well being meant more than the guest's. The last thing, which to me and my group was the issue that really made our trip unpleasant was that we killed at least 20 ticks in the house. I know we were on a farm, but I'm pretty sure we didn't bring them in on our person, if so, they would have stayed on our body. We found them crawling on the walls and on the day bed in the living area. We had to constantly be on the look out and it was giving the young mothers anxiety. I give this home 3 stars for overall experience because I was expecting rustic luxury...the pricing per night did not match the quality of the experience.

Summary: This property was ideally located! The organic farm next door and farm animals were delightful! Also, the little farmers market on the premises and the pool were enjoyed by all. The house itself was clean and tidy and very interesting the was it was decorated mixing new and vintage. We all loved it!!

Summary: I rented the River's Edge Cottage with my family for a week in late June. We were able to comfortably sleep 12 people with room to spare. The location is less than a mile from Red Arrow Highway and the town line beach in Union Pier could be reached on foot. The kitchen, living room, basement, and screened in porch were gteat locations for us to spend time the days that it rained. On sunny days we spent time around the pool, walking near the river in the forest, or at the beach. We had a great time and would happily return in the future.

Summary: Eric is a great host. The property was clean, spacious and it’s in a great location. The pool and hot tub is top notch. So many things to do in the area and the lake is a little over a mile away. Great place for family gatherings and the kids loved it thanks Eric for your hospitality. We will be back soon.
