Positive: I have stayed here several times and the welcome from staff has always been so warm and friendly. It meets my needs really well and is very reasonably priced. The location is ideal for access to the Mumbai Railway Station via a 5-minute taxi ride, which hotel staff happily pre-booked for me. We needed to catch a 7am train to Pune so the hotel made special arrangements for my friends and I to take early breakfast in the dining room. They also offer free tea/coffee/chai at almost any time of day and are happy to recommend excellent safe restaurants. I highly recommend the Residency Hotel Fort.

Negative: There was nothing I didn't like. Perhaps a safe in the room for valuables would be a nice extra, but it wasn't a problem for us.

Summary: Once again, my friends and I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and were made to feel so welcome

Positive: The hotel is very good! We arrived in the early morning. The staff was very polite and offered breakfast and early check-in. The breakfast was very tasty. Around good restaurants and in walking distance there are main city sights. We had some complimentary tea break in the evenings and welcoming staff ready to asist.

Negative: We liked everything.

Positive: The staff was incredible, very helpful, informative, smiling! I showed them my shoes where the soles where coming off and within 30 minutes they had been glued and stitched by a shoemaker. Breakfast was good and best of all, they had a COFFEE MACHINE. I could get my daily Coffee Americano right there (that doesn't always happen in Indian hotels). A big PLUS! The location is perfect. I have stayed in Colaba many times, but now drfinitely prefer this location. Close to anything, Marine Drive is only a 15-minute walk away. Don't miss out Pizza on the Bay!

Negative: Our room was very small. And the hotel might be a bit pricey, but it's central so I guess you have to pay for that.

Summary: Will definitely stay again!

Positive: Location is fantastic - strongly recommended for that alone - very close to all the heritage buildings and just around the corner from the subway. I met lots of people who stayed way further north in Mumbai to save money and I'm glad I didn't. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent - chefs cooking eggs and dosa fresh to order, plus Indian and Western options. Room was a little mixed - bed was super comfortable and aircon/Wi-Fi both worked really well. The room was a little run-down though, and unfortunately I didn't have a window!

Negative: Room a little run-down. Also, noise from the corridor was quite significant - I was woken up at 3am and at 6am by people talking (i was in room 410 on the ground floor - might not be an issue on other floors).

Positive: Great hotel, clean rooms and bathrooms in a good location in Fort (lots of places in walking distance and lots of places to eat nearby), good breakfast in a room with good views of the world going by. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would choose this place again.

Positive: Well located, very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Staff were super friendly and the included breakfast was great :)

Negative: On the more expensive side for india but you do get what you pay for, we had a lovely stay.
