Summary: Loved our time at Ranvik house! Beachfront cottage charm right on the water! Special touches and deligtful decor enhance this great location on a long sandy beach. Brought our kayaks and had easy access to enjoy them right out front. Great communication from host. While there there were some times of intense jettraining flyovers, the house was equipped with some earplugs and headphones and we did OK. So much to do on Whidbey and this central location made it easy to get to where we wanted to go. The problem was we just wanted to enjoy the beach! If you are looking for a well equipped beach house, check this out!

Summary: Beautiful location and beach was stunning. Great central location for all of our chosen activities. Description of the house and amenities was very good. Enjoyed a hot dog and s’more roast one evening. Hosts were understanding when I had to shorten my stay 2 nights. Enjoyed the pool one time as hrs didn’t match well with our activities. Of course being on Whidbey Island you will know there will be frequent fly over training. Glorious to see the jets so close however very loud. Earplugs or noise canceling headphones advised. All in all we all had a great time and made many memories

Summary: This house is amazing! Right on the water, beautiful views. Inside, you feel like you’re stepping into a Coastal Living magazine. Comfortable beds, very well stocked kitchen, We would definitely stay again and recommend highly to others. Owner gave excellent instructions on check in and check out and easy to communicate with.

Summary: I could just sit and look at the beautiful view for hours, but then I would want to walk on the beach and watch the tides change. The sunsets were also spectacular.

Summary: We finally returned to Ranvik House after years of delayed plans due to the pandemic and other family issues. It was WONDERFUL to be back. The home is absolutely lovely. The views of the mountains and water were fabulous. We look forward to our next visit. The hosts could not be more professional, helpful, and courteous.

Summary: There are already countless reviews telling you all about Ranvik so there's not much point in repeating them. What we can say is that this degree of excellence has been maintained over an extraordinary period of time. We had been away for 10 years with the pandemic and international travel, but finally returned to spend a week. We were pleased to find that everything that made Ranvik special was maintained and improved. Dan and Lisa continue to do an amazing job!

Summary: Had an absolutely amazing time at The Ranvik. Cannot recommend it enough. Every bed was comfortable. The space was plentiful. The views were GORGEOUS. My youngest and I had so much fun exploring the beach - skipping rocks and finding shells. We saw a seal and many herons. Loved the telescope - a fantastic addition. Was able to reconnect with wonderful family members in different places on the island easily. The Crabby Coffee downtown is awesome for good coffee and friendly faces. Just can’t say enough about how wonderful the home is. We can’t wait to come back in the warmer months and get our own personal air show. ;)

Summary: We spent Thanksgiving week here with 3 generations. The two wings of the house with the living area in between was a nice separation given small children going to sleep and waking up early. The house was very clean and comfortable -- very tastefully and functionally decorated. The owners brought us a roasting pan and new thermometer since they knew we would be roasting a turkey. It was very cold but the house was warm and comfortable. The view is beautiful. We did not have any jet noise for the whole week. The playground 3 houses away was a hit for our 1 and 3 year old. They spent most of their days playing with the rocks on the beach. We brought a paddle board (1/2 of the days were perfectly calm) and launched right down from the house. Would definitely stay again.
