Summary: Good value accommodation When the cafe next door is reopened it would be ideal

Summary: Cheap and breakfast is included. However, the breakfast is minimalistic, very low budget. Restaurant next door closed, so no food, unless you drive to a pub or town. Take away, delivery very poor but that's not the hotel's fault.

Summary: Lovely warm reception when I arrived, which was nice and the staff were very helpful throughout my stay. The outside area around the hotel was very neglected, which didn’t give a great impression but the rooms were very clean, if a little tired and in need of some re-furnishing. For the price paid, and the cleanliness of the room, I would definitely stay here again. Would just be nice if the area around the hotel was a bit tidier as a wrecked car was even sitting in the parking area around the back.

Summary: The room was spacious and included a sofa plus comfortable bed. Good shower. Staff on the front desk were welcoming and very apologetic, since the wifi was not available until late in the evening of my arrival. Breakfast was very basic and self-service in the entrance hallway. The staff had limited knowledge about local restaurants for evening meals.

Summary: Great three night stay. Was obviously a former Travelodge, so spacious rooms and good facilities. Would have liked a power socket nearer the bed for recharging iPad, phone etc. so they could be used as clocks. Great way of providing breakfast - help-yourself cereal/milk/fruit juice/bread to toast/butter/marmalade etc. Good parking, and quiet surroundings. Convenient for Rutland Water and Oakham.

Summary: Poor quality hotel. Toilet Door doesn’t shut Old dated and poor quality Bedding was stained, pillow has something gross on it. Food area was right next to our door so not happy with noise. Floor boards squeaks really annoying. Breakfast included! Only to find out it’s toast and cereal only. This place is a 2 star rating.

Summary: We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. We have previously stayed at the hotel a few years ago and had no problems. Yet this time when we went in the sofa bed was not set up. We spoke to the lady in reception who came back to the room with covers and we were told it was normal that guests set up the sofa bed ourselves. We struggled to get it flat and when we raised this , it was implied that it was our problem and there was no other rooms. The sofa bed had no mattress and was incredibly uncomfortable. The sofa bed is not very large and has large arms on the side. It was not really big enough for our two children to sleep on. I can’t recommend anyway staying if they have to use the sofa bed. The hotel itself is basic and clean. The breakfast is cereal and toast and was what was expected. Apart from the bed the hotel had everything that was needed.

Summary: As I checked in, there was a man standing in reception swearing angrily into his telephone. This set the scene for my stay. It was functional with no finesse. I won’t be rushing back.

Summary: Very basic and tired but nice country location and cheap. Breakfast is definitely not continental more 1960s Russia
