Positive: The property and the host were fantastic. The location was as close as you could get to the action of everything. A two minute walk to temples and even less to food and everything else. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating.

Summary: Wonderful location and amazing host. Very reasonable price.

Negative: Only minor criticism is that they didn’t respond to our Booking.com messages, requesting an earlier check-in. Also be aware that check-out is earlier than normal for most places. It’s 9am check out although booking.com says it’s 10am.

Positive: Perfect location to visit all the sites around Hampi by foot and close to restaurants etc (check out the fruit muesli breakfast at Bamboo Chill Out less than a minute away). Host was wonderfully helpful and allowed an early check in and late check out. Comfortable beds and adequate bathroom. Host was also helpful if you need advice about excursions and transport.

Negative: Our room opened directly on to the street and was a little noisy at night and early morning. It is quite expensive for what it is but everything in Hampi is due to supply and demand. The room and bathroom are quite tired but, if you’re used to budget travel nothing that you’ve not seen before.

Summary: Slightly tired room but wonderful host and perfect position for Hampi highlights.

Positive: Very kind host and very decent for the rural location of Hampi. AC worked well. She let us keep our bags there for the whole day whilst we waited for our overnight bus. Good location, near all Hampi sites. We walked most of it gradually over 4 days and didn’t need a tuktuk once.

Negative: Shower was mostly cold as is typical where we’ve stayed in India. Only a small window in the room makes you feel a bit cooped in but using the outdoor courtyard relieves this
