The Indonesian-style villas were built from 200-year-old teak wood and offer a private patio with garden and sea views. Ratua Private Island is a 30-minute boat trip from the mainland to the Ratua Private Island jetty or a 1-hour flight from Port-Vila. A private 2297 foot air-strip is located on-site. Guest enjoy free use of snorkeling gear, bicycles and canoes. Set over the water, the Sunny Spa offers treatments using organic products. Relax with a cocktail at the Yacht Club which serves dishes using local produce and offers a games room. Positive: We loved absolutely everything! it's indeed a magical place! The rooms are amazing, the privacy, the access to the water, the reef just in front of the resort it's beautiful, the food was the best we had in 2 weeks in Vanuatu, the staff superb!!

Positive: Even though it was a short visit for our big group, it was truly unforgettable! Huge thanks to Mimi and the amazing team at Ratua Island Resort — your warmth, patience, and outstanding service made us feel truly cared for. From the beautiful welcome at the jetty to the emotional farewell as we sailed away to the airport — we’ve never experienced anything like this, anywhere in the world. Special thanks to the chef — the food was absolutely world-class, every meal was a delight. The island is magical, the snorkeling is breathtaking (better than the Maldives!), and the whole experience touched our hearts. Thank you again to all the staff — your kindness will stay with us. Highly, highly recommended — Ratua is a true paradise.

Positive: The property is so relaxing and unique. My family were literally the only guests there in July, due to Air Vanuatu flight cancellations, but the staff still treated us like kings. The food was delicious, and my children especially enjoyed the horse riding and swimming with horses. We all had a great time snorkeling right off the beach with lots of coral and fish to see. When our departure flight was postponed a day, the resort was also very proactive about checking in with the airline to get updates and happily extended our stay the extra night.
