This beautiful second-story apartment, is set in a very pastoral and quiet setting in the Rattlesnake, at end of a dead-end street, and just a stone's throw from Rattlesnake Creek. Enjoy the sounds of nature and the large yard with three ponds and natural landscaping. We are pet friendly; pet approval at time of reservation. We respectfully restrict smoking, and are close to downtown and the city bus. The University and football stadium are a little over a mile away, easily accessed via main streets.
The apartment is one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, one bath, with additional sleeping for two. A full kitchen offers cooking facilities, dishwasher, large double refrigerator and freezer. Charming living area with a gas fireplace for comfort and atmosphere, including A/C in the summer, along with a quaint homey decor. A study area and desk, with Internet available. Summary: Charming apartment. Worked great for our long weekend stay. The hosts were accommodating and provide everything you might need. There are outdoor stairs to the house attached apartment, this was not a problem for us but the hosts do provide an elevator if need be. Overall, excellent stay.

Summary: You would never guess it from the front of the home, but this property has a secret garden included. The little flat had everything that I needed - kitchen, comfy bed, and parking. The flat was clean and tidy. My little dog was able to freely roam around the back yard and she had a wonderful time discovering new scents. I will definitely have to return to this treasure!

Summary: Carolyn and Loren's lovely haven is a respite from the world. They are kind, thoughtful, and generous people, and their home and garden shines with their 50 years of devoted care. If you would like to be sequestered away in Missoula's best neighborhood, this is the place. It's convenient to the best hiking, the university and downtown, and has a great kitchen, a comfy bed, and a perfect deck for enjoying the view. Plus it has a fenced yard and allows dogs. Though I stayed there alone 2 nights, my husband brought our 2 dogs over one afternoon and so I can comment on the dog setup as well.There are three issues future guests should be aware of, and I did bring them to Carolyn's attention, so I'm sure they will be addressed in future:1. One of our dogs did escape the fenced yard--we aren't sure how. 2. The access to the apartment is via an open metal exterior staircase that one of our dogs flung himself off of because it scared him that he could see the ground through the steps. (He wasnt hurt--he's pretty tough--and young). Our old dog handled the stairs just fine, but I wouldn't have thought either of them would have had a problem--so you may be surprised. Carrying my luggage up those stairs wasn't easy for me--I'm 69--so Carolyn kindly let me use the elevator inside their house! That was a blessing.3. The only serious issue for me was the shower. It has on-demand hot water with very poor water pressure. Because of the low water ppressurressureerythingood

Summary: Such a homey, well appointed apartment. Hearing the creek in the evenings after getting back to the apartment was an added bonus. The pictures were spot on. The location couldn't be beat for the writing retreat we attended during the day.

Summary: Our stay was wonderful! The accomodations were perfect. Everything was extremely clean and accessible to make our stay delightful.
