Positive: The cabin was remote (not for everyone I guess), comfortable, decorated with a charming local style and had an amazing inventory in the kitchen.

Negative: Upgrading the beds would be a good idea.

Positive: Loved this spot for our family and friends work and hunting trip overall. The location is perfect, great for families with kids, and extremely clean, comfortable, and convenient.

Negative: Honestly, there were only a couple small negatives: (1) We had some trouble with the door code a few times. The coded entry would just seem to inexplicably fritz every now and then, but never for more than a few extra seconds for us to re-enter the code a couple times. Who knows, maybe we were doing something small incorrectly when using it. (2) A small dishwasher would make all the difference in the world at this property. When you start getting into multiple-day stays, and sometimes the weather isn't good so you're eating inside on actual dishes rather than paper camp plates and other disposable things--a dishwasher would have made the stay perfect. And knowing what I know now, I would have happily paid a slightly increased nightly rate to have one.

Summary: Great overall! Will be back. Could really use a dishwasher for longer stays or stays in bad weather.

Positive: Clean, comfortable space with well stocked/labeled kitchen supplies and spacious bathroom. Felt like our own little place to come after a long day of hiking. We wished the cabin could come along to our next destination.

Negative: Loft area was a bit tricky to navigate with the low ceiling, but we made it work since the kids slept up there. My husband is tall so he wasn’t able to get up there comfortably. When booking, I didn’t realize all of the extra taxes and fees - maybe I overlooked them, but I think the property did communicate well about them once the reservation was made. I felt a bit nervous about the $300 deposit and sort of felt like I was chasing after anyone who may have dropped a crumb to be sure we got the deposit back. We already paid a $75 fee for cleaning so this felt excessive to me, but I’m sure they have their reasons for including that fee. We did get the security deposit back after checking out. *These are more just things to be aware of rather than “dislikes.”
