Nanteague is a quirky but luxury chalet-style cottage with beautiful sea views across a wooded valley to Falmouth Bay.
The front door leads into an open-plan sitting and dining area with adjacent kitchen and is floor tiled throughout.
The lounge area has a two-seat sofa, wicker armchair, and a wall-mounted flame effect electric fire. Also a 40” HD TV with Freeview+ PVR including apps for Catch-up (BBC, ITV, Channels 4 & 5), BritBox, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, Sky Entertainment via Now TV. There is also a DVD player, telephone, an Amazon Alexa Echo Dot smartspeaker with Bluetooth connection, and free superfast WiFi internet.
The kitchen is well equipped with quality 1½ bowl ceramic sink, fridge with small freezer compartment, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, Tassimo coffee maker, electric double oven/grill with 4-ring hob, and extractor.
Also downstairs is a large fully tiled bathroom that has a large double shower cubicle with powerful mixer shower, corner bath, WC, heated towel rail, and washbasin with shaver point and heated mirror.
Upstairs is the large eaves bedroom (so parts of it have LIMITED HEADROOM) but has a feature Velux cabrio balcony window which opens out giving the impression of being on a balcony yet still in the room that enjoys uninterrupted views across the wooded valley to the sea. There is a 6' superking-size pocket sprung mattress bed with choice of summer or winter weight duvets, or single duvets if preferred, extra blanket and pillows, bathrobes, and hair dryer. Built-in wardrobe and shelving, wicker armchair, and 32” Freeview TV.
Outside there are 2 small private lawn areas with table, chairs, patio umbrella, 2 reclining chairs, again with views down the valley and out across the bay. Guests also have the use of a half-acre meadow garden including bench seats and large pond. Nanteague has its own dedicated parking area within the courtyard. Sometimes there are cows in the field over the garden hedge, so occasionally there might be some 'agricultural' noises and smells!
Nanteague is one of four converted farm buildings within a courtyard setting. Two of these properties are also holiday cottages (Stable Cottage property no. 1841315, and Pond Cottage property no. 1839724, for couples only). The owners live in the other barn so are available to give advice and help at most times (including ferrying guests to the start of a one-way walk).
Due to a step up through a narrow front door and narrow staircase upstairs, this cottage is not suitable for guests with wheelchairs or restricted mobility.
Rental includes bedlinen, towels, electricity, Superfast WiFi, free anytime telephone calls to normal landlines in the UK and 25 countries worldwide, and underfloor central heating for out-of-season lets.
Regret no children or dogs. Property is STRICTLY non-smoking.

Summary: Sally and John were brilliant hosts. Very helpful and attentive providing us with information and tips for our days out. The accommodation itself was superb. Very clean, modern and tidy and had everything we needed. The views are amazing and the location perfect for exploring. Highly recommend staying here.

Summary: Very well presented and well equipped, small house which is a converted barn. Beautiful view over the valley in a tranquil location. We had a very enjoyable stay here in October and our hosts were very attentive. Though the other two holiday barns were occupied, we were completely undisturbed. The barn was very well equipped with everything we needed and there were some delightful extra touches. We walked down to the local pub via the adjacent footpath for dinner a couple of times and the Greenhouse restaurant in St Keverne is not to be missed. John had some good tips on where to start our walks along the Cornish coast path and Sarah has a great eye for detail ensuring the the accommodation is top notch. They were both very keen to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we required. Would definitely recommend to friends and hope to return.

Summary: A wonderful property, with not a right angle anywhere, but that adds to the sheer marvel of the place. Wholeheartedly recommended. The owners too are just so helpful and caring, this is a real gem.

Summary: Excellent holiday

Summary: The property was spotless and with all the facilities for a comfortable self catering week in Cornwall. The owners, Sarah and John were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay and the scones, cream and jam left for us on our arrival was a nice touch and delicious too ! Nanteague is a lovely little cottage which has been brought completely up to modern standards and even the low ceiling in the bedroom added a charm to the place. Wonderful views of the sea across the neighbouring fields from the front of the cottage, two nice pubs in nearby St Keverne twenty five minutes walk across the fields and a five minute drive and another nice pub fifteen minutes walk away in Porthallow. All served food and there were plenty of great beaches within driving distance. All in all, a wonderful week spent in a perfect location with perfect hosts. Thank you Sarah and John

Summary: Nanteague was a relatively short-notice holiday booking after our previous plans were disrupted by Covid, but we had an excellent holiday. I don't usually leave five stars in every category for a property, but this is well deserved. It's just perfect for two people, set just outside Porthallow in a quiet location with plenty of walking in easy reach. It was really comfortable, spotlessly clean and with some of those little extras that make for a luxury feel. Covid precautions were excellent - John and Sarah as hosts take this aspect really seriously, as they do with every aspect of hosting. Highly recommended!

Summary: A beautifully presented cottage with stunning views and surrounded by delightful gardens. It had everything we needed and more. John and Sarah are wonderful hosts and made us feel truly pampered. Both sea and lovely inland vegetarian cafe within walking distance. Can't recommend this property highly enough.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Nanteague. It is a beautiful little cottage with fantastic views out over Falmouth Bay. The attention to detail in the cottage is second to none with little touches that made our stay easy, relaxing and enjoyable. There are two other cottages available however the thought that has been put into the conversions has retained the privacy of each. The cottage is exceptionally clean and well maintained and John and Sarah are fantastic hosts who could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend staying at Nanteague and look forward to returning here, or to one of the other two cottages holiday cottages available, in the very near future.
