Summary: Beautiful house and location with superb view over the land and sea. Beautiful porch outside where we stayed most of the time. Conveniently located to most of the interesting sightseeings of the island. Very friendly host.

Summary: Maria’s home is absolutely wonderful. My two kids both loved seeing all of the animals, and we could even see whales in the ocean from the porch. Clean property with all amenities provided, including parking and a washing machine. We stayed in two different locations when on our trip, and this property easily was the favorite. We would definitely try to stay again on a return trip. Grocery store and highway are convenient.

Summary: The property (garden included) is beautiful, clean, quiet, very private and has excellent views of the ocean. Well equipped kitchen, good wifi. The host is very helpful and responsive. Oh, and must love cats!

Summary: The Quinta de Pavoa is excellently located to visit the whole island by car. It has a fantastic covered terrace with great views where you can sit out all day. It is totally private, and you do not hear the noise from the road behind when you sit on the terrace. Maria the host is most welcoming and helpful. She even managed to find us some binoculars as we mentioned on arrival that we had forgotten to bring ours. She also treated us to a prepared meal one evening that she left in the fridge for us mid-week. You do have to like cats though as there are plenty around and they will treat the terrace as their own!

Summary: Staying Quinta da Pavoa - Cottage House was a great experience. I highly recommend staying here if you choose to stay anywhere near Vila Franca do Campo (VFdC). The location afforded a great scenic view of VFdC. Cats and dogs were friendly. Maria was a wonderful host. She treated us with care and respect. And the pictures do so little justice to how beautiful the house is. If my travels lead me back to VFdC, I will be staying here again.
