With the Purple Juniper as your home base in Durango, you will be able to park your car and walk everywhere in town. Walk four blocks and arrive at the heart of downtown with its restaurants, cafes, shops and the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad.
The Purple Juniper is an intimate and inviting half-duplex facing a quiet, sunny neighborhood street. It is cozy with an open floor plan and updated bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen and living room are connected by a granite island with three seats. Additional dining seating in warmer months is a four-seat table on the front deck. The bedrooms have a queen bed in one room and two twins in the second room. All beds are solid, plush and comfortable. A good night's sleep is key! Evaporative cooling in the Summer additionally provides for restful nights.
In addition to Main Avenue and downtown, walk several blocks to the Nature Trail and Sky Steps. The neighborhood is pedestrian and dog-friendly, and the block on which the Purple Juniper resides is especially quiet and peaceful.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at Purple Juniper! The location was perfect. We walked to hiking trails, biking trails, restaurants, coffee shops and breweries. The space and accommodation was more than expected. Very pet friendly. Our dog refused to leave. She kept running back inside and laying down on the dog bed that was provided. Summary: Purple Juniper was simply lovely, a cozy 2 BR, 1 Bath home located on a quiet street in downtown Durango and easily walkable to all of Main Street's attractions, including the train station. It was a perfect base for "Grandma Camp" activities with our 7 year- old grandson, which included a ride on the historic train.The front deck was perfect seating for two home-cooked dinners while basking in the late April sunshine. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, our Hostess was friendly and responsive, and the contactless check-in process could not have been easier. We will definitely return here on oir next trip to Durango.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the Purple Juniper home. It really is just a short walk or bike away from most things to do in Durango. We had easy access to all the local shopping and restaurants. The Durango to Silverton Narrow gauge train was also a short distance away. The property was as advertised: having all your vacation needs and spacious enough for 3 adults to spend most of a week here without stepping on each other's toes. The property manager, Victoria, was super friendly and helpful with all of my questions before and during my stay.

Summary: We had the perfect stay at Purple Juniper! Such a lovely, safe neighborhood and an easy walk to so many shops and restaurants downtown. Victoria was the perfect host, so easy to communicate with and willing to get us anything we needed our entire stay. The residence has an impressive and generous stock of every kitchen and pantry staple you could imagine, truly the best of any rental we have ever stayed at. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of extra linens and towels.10/10!

Summary: This was a very comfortable and cozy place had everything you can imagine. The Kitchen was perfect and was lacking nothing. The only thing I would change is the TV was Very Small maybe 36" pretty hard to Watch a Movie. Other than that I would stay there again anytime.

Summary: Had a great stay- easy walk into town. Was a bit worried that it would be noisy with street traffic etc being so close to downtown but it was very quiet. Nice sunny front porch and the steps path up to Fort Lewis Campus are just a couple blocks down the street. There is a second unit in the other half of the house with separate entrance. Parking on the street was plentiful. The host Bictoria was absolutely prompt about staying in touch with me to answer questions. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware.

Summary: Our son attends Ft Lewis College and we love the downtown area. We were able to be the stop between school and home for our son. Plus we were able to walk anywheer downtown. perfext size for the two of us and our fur baby. Kitchen is well stocked and the heated bathroom floor was a wonderful surprise!
