Welcome to Cooper’s Point, 10 minutes from downtown Hot Springs, featuring a brand new private & cozy 1 bedroom, 1 bunk room, 1.5 bath Forest River Vibe cabin with fireplace, central air, gas range, deck w/hot tub & outdoor living spaces including grill, outdoor entertainment & beverage fridge, all nestled under the pines & surrounded by water! Our property is family owned & occupied, with our rental cabin situated & fenced off for pets & privacy at the end of our lake point. Se habla Español! We are proud to offer an affordable dog-friendly experience for couples, friends, small families, or anyone wanting to get away & relax. We’ve even hosted famous writers! Please note we do a *lot* more business on the “other” short-term rental website, so please do check us out there too, even if just for the reviews- we have solid 5-Star reviews and can be found at “Cooper’s Point Hideaway.”
A privacy fence affords a dog-safe & uniquely solitary water-front stay nestled under the pine trees, while our cozy master bedroom features a comfortable queen bed with premium bedding, & our bunk room features one *upper* bunk & a lower fold- out queen couch that we can make up on request. (Please note for mobility purposes that when the bunk room queen bed is pulled out & made it takes up the whole small bunk room.) All rooms are situated with great lake views right on the water.
We’ve built a new deck for our professionally-maintained hot tub & private living & outdoor cooking area that includes a propane fireplace. Lakeside evenings couldn’t get much better than sipping tea or a glass of chardonnay out on the deck in front of the fire with your best friend or your best canine pal & your kindle.
For the colder winter months, our RV cabin is equipped with central heating, electric fireplace, extra radiators if needed, a heated mattress pad on the master bed, plus plenty of cozy blankets. If you like quiet days in, we offer books, games & puzzles, plus Netflix & Amazon with movies & internet for viewing the lake from the comfort of the warm indoors.
A few things to know:
Lakeside can still get chilly in the winter, so please plan & dress accordingly.
Smaller dogs should be leashed at all times as we do have (amazingly beautiful) predatory birds, including bald eagles, hawks and owls.
As shown in photos, this property is in the woods & has all the woodsy things one would find in the woods, such as bugs, critters & such. We take a lot of care to remove fire ants & bad insects like wasps; however, please be aware the property is right on the lake & situated in the woods & plan accordingly.
The cabin does have an oven, but just fits a flat baking pan. We also have a new outdoor gas grill with burner in the outdoor kitchen area.
A little about us: We are a woman-owned business, & our property is owner-occupied. It is our pleasure to welcome you with a quality, relaxing & quiet stay. Summary: My husband, I and our two dogs have stayed in several VRBO and air b&b all over the US and this was by far our favorite . We will be back for sure . We stayed for a full week , we didn’t even want to leave the property we loved it so much . The cottage is very well maintained , very clean , has everything you could possibly need . Beds were very comfy , loved the huge bathroom . The property is amazing , our dogs loved swimming in the lake and running around on the fenced in acreage . Highly recommend . Great location , within minutes or everything in hot springs . The neighborhood is very quite , we brought our running shoes and went for a run every morning . Loved it .

Summary: We were looking for quiet and seclusion with a nice view for a very short stay... and we found it! This property fit our needs perfectly. It truly had everything we needed. We had one glitch but the owner, Signe, was very gracious... she addressed the situation and did her best to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you Signe for a very pleasant experience.

Summary: It was great! House was very clean and decorated very cute. The area is very secluded and peaceful. We swam off of dock and floated down cove, which was great. Fishing off of point was great, didn’t catch anything but had a few bites. Bug spray is for sure a must while waking down to dock and point. Everything needed was supplied in kitchen, except can opener didn’t work to well. Very comfortable and peaceful week.

Summary: Super easy to book; great directions for check in; and fantastic communication with owner. When there were weather concerns over hurricane Laura possibly ruining our trip, Signe was great about letting us know there was no damage, flooding or power outages, and we were good to come the following day! ZERO complaints!! Every detail is thought of: every cabinet labeled, bug spray if you forgot yours (like we did), hummingbird food, sunscreen, toothbrushes, razors...literally anything you might need. Couch was comfy, ottomans for your feet, lots of throws if you get chilly. Bed was comfortable, better than any other VRBO rental we’ve ever been to. Location was great, easy to get to the highway and go 2 miles to be in the middle of everything, or go nowhere and enjoy the peace. The private dock is perfect to fish from or take a chair and fish from the point; both were great. Despite rain nearly every day, it was still a wonderful get away and we love that pets are allowed as part of the family. Thank you so much for sharing your family’s cottage with us, we will definitely come back! Nathan & Amanda Crump *IF I had to make any possible suggestions (because it really is fantastic), they would be: -have a broom and dustpan available for the OCD that want to clean before they leave (at least the leaves and pet hair). -a lamp for the other side of the couch for reading, drawing, etc... -a curved shower rod to give a little extra elbow room in the shower. ~curtain liner with suction cups to stick to the side of the tub so water doesn’t escape so easily. Again, just some thoughts I had throughout the stay but nothing that would prevent me from returning or anything that dampened our stay.
