The space
A truly spectacular setting, nestled amongst the trees with direct beach / lake access. This custom built holiday house has been designed as the perfect getaway from busy city lives. The house is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. In summer, enjoy the numerous local beaches; in winter enjoy stunning walks, and curling up around the log burner. Stunning views from all rooms help make the house the perfect all year round escape for couples, friends and families alike.
The main living/entertaining area incorporates a FULLY EQUIPPED MODERN COOKS KITCHEN, large dining table, lounge area with TV / DVD/stereo, day bed and library of books. A rammed earth wall, amazing LOG BURNER (with fire guard, and integrated pizza / bread oven), and beautiful views make this room a truly fantastic place to relax.
There is a lovely SUNNY TERRACE adjacent to the kitchen with a HERB GARDEN (including basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, chilli, kafir lime, lemongrass, curry leaves) which you are welcome to use. We also provide basic kitchen provisions (foil, oil, sugar, tea bags etc.).
A 2ND SEPARATE TV/ CHILL OUT LOUNGE/ LIVING AREA has a large LCD TV, with PLAYSTATION 2 with games (including Buzz!). There is a selection of DVDs to enjoy (including a childrens selection), as well as various board games and a range of children's toy, which saves you bringing them with you! Relax on the DAYBED, choose a book from our library, and take in the wonderful views.
The LARGE FRONT DECK extends the length of the house and looks out through the tree tops to the lake. From here you can enjoy the beautiful sounds and sights of the Australian bush including bower birds, kookaburras, majestic black cockatoos and flying foxes. A large gas BBQ, and outdoor dining table are provided for alfresco cooking and dining.
Upstairs you will find 4 BEDROOMS all with lovely views out through the trees.
The 2 IDENTICAL MASTER BEDROOMS with Queen size beds sit at opposite ends of the house. Both have built in robes, desks and ceiling fans and each boasts it's own balcony with beautiful views. The third bedroom has a Queen bed and the fourth a set of custom built timber bunk beds. There is an interconnecting door between the 3rd and 4th bedroom.
** We provide 2 extra foam matresses for extra children.
There are 2 LARGE BATHROOMS with separate baths / showers. Relax in A BATH WITH A VIEW out across the tree tops to the lake - sheer indulgence.
Ceiling fans and cross ventilation ensure cool comfort in the summer months, whilst for those long winter nights, curl up in front of the log burner, which also has an integrated oven allowing you to make your own bread / pizzas!
Two outdoor hot and cold showers are also provided for you to rinse off after a visit to one of the numerous local beaches.
The house is located on a 3,000 square metre plot, sloping down to the lake. Walk down through our very own tropical rainforest to a secluded lake front beach / cove. The perfect place for a swim, a picnic, or a spot of fishing!
FREE WI-FI and local calls are provided for your convenience.
For those with young children, you will also find a high chair, travel cot, small childrens dining table, and kids cutlery / plates provided. A range of toys and children’s books / DVDs will help keep them entertained. There is a lovely kids play park in Smith’s Lake as well.

Summary: Lovely place, well equipped with lots of lovely extras, like plenty of coathangers! Duplo, books, games. However, no extra toilet paper rolls not good for our 8 people. Great to have two separate living areas. No bannister or handrail on stairs a little challenging. Also, a prominent number on property would have helped find it! Steep stairs down to front door were covered with leaves and seed pods, which made it a bit dangerous esp when carrying luggage. Lovely big balcony could also have benefited from a sweep up of all the leaves prior to our arrival.

Summary: We loved the stylish ambience of this house and the children were well catered for . The kitchen was well equipped with all that was needed and overall we really enjoyed our break there and would love to stay again. P.S. Would love to see the addition of a stair railing for the over 60s!

Summary: My family and I enjoyed an absolutely fabulous week at this hidden gem of a home. It literally feels like you are waking up in a rainforest!! All of the local beaches, waterways and amenities are in a short drive or hike. The home itself has everything you need and a soak in either of the lovely bath tubs, looking out on the tree tops with lake glimpses is a must do!
