Scenic, private, mountain compound with a mild climate. 80 acres of wildflower meadows and trails through shady woods. See the milky way like never before! Relax on the lit gazebo deck with views to the Pacific, or nap in a hammock in the woods. Walk the mowed meadow loop before lunch, pick nearby organic produce for dinner. Excellent for small groups, Yoga and meditation retreats welcome. Spaces can be reconfigured to support small yoga workshops.
Four separate, fully refurbished, historic northwest buildings for your use. Bedding and towel sets provided. Unbelievable views. NO POISONOUS SNAKES or IVY so you can relax, hike in shorts and lay in the grass! Deer-fenced gardens so children can play. See it in the March 2012 issue of Oregon Coast Magazine. It is a historical site, a pioneer 1800's homestead and a renowned prep school in the 1950's, now a beloved retreat for your well being.
Lodgings include the 'Sixes' Dorm-style Cabin: 6 quality Full sized log beds with wool futons ( privacy screens between beds) and a connected bathroom/shower. The 'Coquille' Split Cabin: East side has 1 Queen, 1 Full, and 1 Full/1 Single bunk bed. West side has 2 Queens, 1 Full, and a modern crib.*( 'Coquille' cabin guests must use the separate bath-house restroom). The private ' Elk' cabin has 1 Queen log bed, kitchenette, full bath and a wood-stove.
In all we offer 14 beds, 27 people possible maximum if all full and queen beds shared.
Rogue Hall has full kitchen with fridge, half fridge, micro, coffee makers, and grinders, gas stove/oven and dishwasher. Bathhouse has 4 spring-fed showers, two toilets, one sink. Hall also has music room with piano. Main hall has sofas, tables and chairs for meals, and a large brick fireplace with wood stove insert.
** Besides these four buildings, there is a main house ( a portion of downstairs only) occasionally available for an additional fee by special arrangement (*not included in regular rental) Includes 2 BDR (1 with 2 Queen Beds the other with a Queen bed and a Full futon).

Summary: Nice rustic compound with plenty of space and a good central gathering area for groups. Great landscaping with walking paths up to a gazebo with a terrific view. Onsite manager was great, would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Our family of six adult children, spouses and grandchildren gather annually to honor the life of our Tony (son, brother and uncle.). The property is gorgeous with trails meandering up and over the mountain. With several out-buildings (including a delightful dorm room) the accommodations worked wonderfully for lots of kids, and those with babies could tuck them in at night away from the large main room w/ the kitchen and fireplace. A perfect space to share meals, games and share memories of a beautiful soul.

Summary: Our group of 10 adults + 5 kids under 4 had the most amazing long weekend at the property. The cabin set up was perfect to allow us to spread out and have separate areas for sleeping kids and loud adults. The grounds were absolutely stunning and had endless hidden garden nooks to drink a cup of coffee and trails to explore.

Summary: We gathered 14 members of our family (from age 3-80) at this rustic Langlois property to celebrate an 80th birthday, to do "family camp" activities and to be all together for the first time since the pandemic started. The managers are available if you have needs and questions, but they let you feel as if you have the property to yourself. The badminton court grassy area was great for lawn games (croquet, water-balloon toss, paper-airplane contest). There are many trails for hiking and meandering, although it is hilly and some trails were too steep for some of our older family members. The Rogue Hall main room and kitchen worked well for a group, though we couldn't quite fit everyone at the main table (only 12 can squeeze in there) -- and we had to run the dishwasher after each meal to have enough clean silverware and glassware for the next. I wouldn't come here expecting luxury, but if you're charmed by a little funkiness then this spot could be a great match for your VRBO needs. Bruce the Moose adorns the wall, there are flower gardens and little nooks for sitting all over, and it was a safe place to let the little kids wander around on their own. The pathways up to Coquille and Sixes dorm were a bit trickier for the grandma and grandpas as there aren't always handrails and there isn't much path lighting at night. But the wind-chime in the garden rang a magic tune and we settled in all together in a homey fashion and enjoyed it all.

Summary: In this time of Pandemic, it is unusual to have a family reunion. With quarentining prior to our trip and a wonderful mountain top retreat, we felt it was worth a try. The retreat was perfect! Very rustic decor with every amenity covered. The views were fantastic and we loved the starry nights. We will definitely visit again. Thank you to our wonderful hosts.

Summary: This was a great new way to spend a family vacation. My youngest grandson equated it LEGOLAND. My teenage grandson said it made up for the missed camping trip, but missed cooking on a campfire, All of the adults fell in love with the property, and the ability to share more time together.The biggest downside to this property was the poor lighting in the Rogue Cabin making it difficult to enjoy games at night. I would suggest adding better lighting.

Summary: Rented the property for a guys trip and it was great. Our group of 20 were able to stay at the same location and use it as our home base for golfing and enjoying the local sites. Our property manager Mel was great!
