Positive: This place was magical! The owner and staff were super kind and treated us like family. Everyone was so wonderful and always greeted you with a smile. The food and drinks at Uma were out of this world delicious. Compared to the rest of the beachfronts in Santa Teresa, the atmosphere was top-notch. I felt lucky to call this hidden gem home for seven days on holiday. I highly recommend it. 10 +++ stars!

Negative: There was nothing unlikeable, truly.

Positive: Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. We especially loved the patio with sofa and table...a great spot to lounge in the shade while still enjoying the beauty of nature. It felt very safe and private while still being part of a boutique resort with great amenities. The restaurant was amazing...great variety of food selections right on the beach, to enjoy sunsets! All of the staff was very kind and helpful. There was a pool and the grounds were lovely. For feeling like you were in the middle of nature, it was still extremely close to walk to shops and cafes.

Negative: Small thing that wouldn't stop us from returning - there were times when the music went a little loud and late at night at the resort next door (Banana Beach). Playa Cielo has music at their restaurant, but it was generally lower volume and ended earlier, not a problem for us. And honestly, the Sunset Party on Sunday was amazing! There were plenty of guests enjoying the music on any given night and I think many guests would see this as a fun option. If you like to go to bed earlier, take earplugs and play "white noise' at night - that completely solved the issue for us!

Summary: We loved Playa Cielo and would return again!

Positive: loved the rooms, the location, the proximity to the beach and the outdoor shower and patio. easy check in.

Negative: the king sized bed is beautiful but the mattress was pretty uncomfortable for us
