We are located directly on the coast.. versus on the "bay" or "harbor", and the views from this custom designed cottage are some of the nicest you will find. We are situated just high enough to provide protection from the ocean, but close enough to hear the waves and surf at all times of the day. Being so close to the water, the feeling in the cottage is a lot like being on a large boat. THERE IS NO ROAD and NO POWER LINES between OUR COTTAGE AND THE OPEN OCEAN. You have an unrestricted and very private view of the open Atlantic and surrounding islands and harbors from our deck. This is hard to find, even in Maine. Nobody walking or driving on a road between you and the sea? Priceless! We also allow most breeds of dogs for a modest fee, but PLEASE CONFIRM BEFORE BOOKING that your dogs age and breed are allowed. That the minimum age of any child is 10. Maximum guest size is 4 (four). The cottage features two queen sized beds, one on each floor, with access to a bathroom on each floor as well. Boothbay Harbor, with all it's charm, galleries, shopping and restuarants, is less than 10 minutes away. Our cottage is situated on a little known oceanfront drive. our quiet road is one of the best kept secrets around and offers views and ocean walks as nice as you will find, but with far fewer people than some areas. Imagine yourself on our deck with a sliver of moonlight coming across the Atlantic and right to you!

Summary: This was such a magical week. The house and view are amazing. Close to everything we needed and easy to get to the area adventures, but also private enough to make it a perfect break from the rest of the world. We are already looking forward to getting back next year. Highly recommend this stay.

Summary: Everything about this cottage was special. It was so clean, fully stocked with everything you could think of, and had views that were amazing. Sitting in the living room felt like being on a boat, you were that close to the water. You could hear the waves against the rocks each night from the main floor bedroom. Whether we were fogged in or could watch lobster boats right off the deck, each morning was magical. We can't wait to come back next year!!

Summary: This cottage was a little slice of perfect. Right on the ocean. When we took a tour boat cruise we saw the cottage from the boat, awesome. It’s very quite short of the waves crashing on the rocks, but to me that’s music. The cottage has everything you’d need short of groceries, but there’s a store a few miles away. Looking forward to our next trip!!

Summary: The cottage is charming. It is decorated nicely and has just about every kitchen utensil you could ask for. The master bedroom on the ground level is great for senior visitors. Children would probably enjoy the second bedroom in the loft.We also appreciated that we could take our dog. She loved being in the sun on the deck. The views are incredible.That and the deck outside overlooking the water were the best things about this property. It was unseasonably warm and humid during our stay, and there is no A/C. The breezes off the water were welcome, as were the many fans, but the humidity made everything feel wet and clammy. We would probably only choose to return in the fall or spring because of this. We know that Maine has traditionally not needed A/C near the coast, but, unfortunately, the climate is changing here as in the rest of the world. Scott was a very responsive host and we hope we can visit again- just not during the summer!

Summary: We truly loved our stay in the waterfront bungalow. Views were incomparable. Sounds of the water was intoxicating. Our host was super nice. This place and host deserve a 10 out of 10. Five stars is no enough.
