Positive: We liked the lodge because it was just like a home from home & was well equipped with everything we needed plus more than we expected. The lodge was situated in a lovely, rural location & the owners went out of their way to ensure we had a great time.

Positive: Fantastic location with a gorgeous view. Peaceful and isolated. A perfect nature getaway with walks through the fields and different animals to see. Amazing sunset views from the hot tub and veranda. Spacious but cosy at the same time inside, ideal for doing your own thing like reading a book or playing games but still feeling sociable.

Negative: Can hardly criticise anything. Only note I would say is if your like me and you plan on doing a lot of cooking from scratch you may be lacking to the odd kitchen utensils but there was almost everything you need to to get by.

Summary: A gorgeous nature retreat with stunning views & only a 30 minute drive to the centre of Edinburgh
