Positive: Very clean and tidy spacious house with 4 bedrooms and terrace with nice view. Communication with host was easy, instructions for collecting keys without any issues.

Negative: Very narrow roads to get to the property (~3 miles from main road). Of course, there is nothing to be done, but just an advice - driving in the dark is a bit challenging.

Positive: If you are looking for a secluded location, this is it. Absolutely gorgeous views, peaceful setting. The sheep right out the window, feeding the pigs, it's a great place to relax. Close enough to sites to go and travel.

Negative: Nothing bad to say about the property. All of the roads around it are 1 way and quite narrow, so if you are uncomfortable on those types of roads you need to make sure to be careful.

Summary: It was everything we were looking for.

Positive: -Our first impression of the house was “Wow!”. It’s set in beautiful surroundings and we found it spotlessly clean, bright and spacious. There are stunning views from every window. -The outdoor decked area was amazing and we spent a lot of time there. It was lovely in the evening with the outdoor lighting, and the surroundings are very peaceful and quiet. - We had everything we might need, including all the modern appliances - it was great to have a freezer and a dishwasher, and we appreciated the radio and the TV for the evening, as well as the thoughtful touches like fairy lights in the conservatory and the decor throughout. The shower in the downstairs bathroom is incredible! Comfortable beds and easy to control the heating. -Charles the owner was very helpful when we spoke ahead of our stay, and the folder of information and instructions for the house was very useful. -The house is on a farm so as others have mentioned there is a stone track to access it, but if you take it slowly it’s fine and we had no problems. Beautiful views from the track too! -We got a bit of excitement when a tractor arrived outside the conservatory during lunch - entertaining pigs arrived in the paddock shortly after and we enjoyed watching them. - Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

Positive: Idyllic rural location with fantastic views from the sun room and adjacent terrace made this an ideal getaway for us. Spacious well-maintained and well-equipped cottage had everything you could wish for. Very spacious rooms and good outdoor spaces and views mean you could holiday here with no need to drive out unless you really wanted to.

Negative: Not really the property but some of the narrow (very narrow with high hedges) roads in the surrounding countryside can make driving stressful. We found that we could easily plan our driving to minimise time on those roads - just take a decent road map that clearly differentiates the roads and completely ignore satnav! Start by following the excellent directions sent with the Sykes pack
