Come and enjoy our cozy, one-level living, Forest Groves home located 20 minutes from downtown Durango. A short 5-minute drive will have you at Lemon Reservoir, and a 15-minute drive will take you to Vallecito Lake to fish, hike, boat, or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings. This location makes a great "base camp" while enjoying all that the Durango area has to offer.
Outside, the deck is the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee, afternoon happy hour, or view the starry night skies. Inside, the layout includes a full kitchen, dining area, living room with a wood-burning stove, and streaming TV. The home comes equipped with amenities such as a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and a BBQ grill.

We simply ask that you treat these homes and properties with the same respect that you would expect one to treat yours. Due to a recent uptick in unauthorized guest, pets and gatherings. We are implementing a strict "one strike" policy for any guest that are found having any unauthorized gatherings, pets or guest with them in the home. Failure to disclose any of the stated above will result in immediate termination of stay with no refund being issued for unused nights.

Cancellation Policy:
If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that are made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival will receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee. Between (29) days and fifteen (15) days before arrival, guest will be refunded 50% of the reservation amount. (14) days or less to arrival, no refunds given.
For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date to receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee Cancellations made between thirty one (31) days in advance of your arrival and (59) days will receive a 50% refund.
Trip insurance is available for purchase and is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

Summary: Beautiful quiet neighborhood (note that the house is near a road so there is road noise in the back yard)Modern interior, nice feel. Neighbors all friendly and welcoming. 100’ to the Florida River. Beautiful drive into Durango from the house

Summary: We had a few minor grumbles with the comfort of the futon-like mattresses in the guest bedrooms, no air conditioning (we're mountain folks too, so we'll let this go 😉), and my wife was disappointed no hair dryer was available, but it's a nice little property otherwise, especially for the price. Look elsewhere if you want trendy furnishings, flashy amenities, or nearby shopping. Property photos are accurate and what you see is what you get. A clean older home with well-maintained furnishings and fixtures. Restaurants, gas stations, and shopping are all 20-25 minutes away in Durango or Bayfield. There is a single liquor store about 5 minutes away selling nothing but alcohol and a few cigars, but that's it. Great location for the outdoorsy... Lemon and Vallecito reservoirs are both within 10-15 minutes of the property with some fantastic fishing, boating, and picnic areas.

Summary: Just what we needed, a quiet and relaxing place to rest. At night the stars were a spectacle without the light pollution. You can enjoy the sound of the river at bedtime. Although it was in summer the nights had cool temperatures, but very comfortable. We slept peacefully. When we return to Durango, we would like to stay in the same place.

Summary: My husband and I are in our early 70's and were traveling with our adult son. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this cozy little house and it felt just like home. Everything was spic and span and exceeded our expectations. The mattresses were very comfortable and the bath towels were plentiful and soft. We appreciated that fact that the house was a single level with only a few steps to climb before entering. That made carrying in luggage and groceries much easier for older folks like us. In addition, since there were only 3 of us, we each had our own bedroom which was wonderful because we all snore! LOL! We slept like babies! I hope we can return someday and if so, we will definitely stay here!

Summary: Perfect for family wedding in Durango! We were under 2 miles from extended family, so our own place close by. Very clean & tidy. Kitchen had all amenities for cooking our own meals, used the grill on back patio & even fired up the woodstove one evening, which warmed the whole place quickly! Bed was super comfy! If I could have packed it in my carry on, may have tried to take it home with us.. 😄 Wish the other places we stayed over the trip had been as nice. I would definitely stay here again next trip to Durango,CO!
