Negative: Access to property caused us stress prior to arrival & on arrival - they use Truvi who were not helpful but once in all OK

Positive: I liked the decor a lot, it was very cosy and retro. The cottage is in a good location with easy access to either station, good pubs and a great Italian restaurant. This is a great place to stay if you plan to attend an event in the area or are heading out for a hike.

Negative: There were a couple of trip hazards that could be a problem for older guests. There was also an oak tree growing at the back that should be cut down. It made it very hard to get out the back gate and the roots will be causing havoc underground. It could be hazardous to pipes if it's allowed to grow anymore.

Negative: Bin had not been emptied, floors were dirty with clothing tags etc. on floor, no actual keys to enter property so have to remember code.

Positive: The house is on a quiet side-street in New Mills, very convenient for shops and cafes. It was clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and nice little back yard. The only problem was that one of the beds in the twin room was not made up, but we were able to find spare bedding. The bed itself was only a pull-out from under a proper single bed. One other annoyance was having to provide a large breakage deposit or buy £40 insurance. This was mentioned in the listing but buried in an 'Otber information' section. It should be made more obvious at the outset.
