Our two fishing ponds are a major attraction. These are private ponds with only guests being able to fish. This keeps them in great condition and means there are always plenty of spots available. Stocked fish include Carp, Mirror Carp and Tench. Top fish weight is about 17lbs

Small but delightfully formed, Owls Roost is perfect for couples or those with young families.
The cosy lounge features comfortable leather settees, wood burning stove LCD colour TV and DVD. There is also a dining area with seating for 4.
The large windows look directly onto the lake. The superb solid maple floors reflect the flames from the wood burning stove.
The kitchen area has a stainless steel cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Sleeping...
The main double bedroom with king size bed has direct views over the lake and a completely new en-suite shower-room with tiled floors & walls and underfloor heating.
Outside...
Owls Roost has a large patio with barbecue, picnic table and garden chairs. Facing South west it gets sun for most of the day, and has glorious views over the lake and the valley beyond. The outdoor hot tub (extra charge required) has lovely lake views.
The main fishing lake is just seconds away for those who enjoy angling.

Summary: Perfect for a couple wanting peace and quiet. Lovely location once found. Kitchen adequate, but cooking utensils and bake-ware could be increased (potato peeler, grater, microwave dishes and basic condiments). Instructions for microwave would be helpful. Toaster needs fixing. Living/Dining area adequate though the dvd player would not power up. Hot tub temperature spot-on! Shower-door missing? So we had to be careful with shower head direction. Hope to return, we will know what to bring next time (Christmas tree was a nice touch!)

Summary: The property is all you need for a family or 4 It's well equipped, very clean, wonderful hot tub we were never out of it. The scenery is just amazing and you feel so peaceful, Frances and Neville are very accommodating and will only message you and give you the freedom to explore. I'm looking forward to coming back in August to try all the facilities, I shall be telling my friends and family about this gem of a place. Thank you.

Summary: Beautiful setting in great location. Much use made of the hot tub and really handy to have passes to China Fleet, especially when the weather isn’t great! Will definitely invest in some fishing rods for the next visit.

Summary: booked 2 cottages here for a family break and we stayed in this one. Lovely location with great views of the fishing lake. small be comfortable and well equipped. Fishing was really good and we also enjoyed the faciities at china fleet

Summary: came for a bit of fishing with partner. even with the cold weather, caught a few decent sized ones. Hot tub overlooking lake was nice and the cottage was warm and cosy with a wood burner (not really needed, but nice of an evening. definitely recommended & will be back

Summary: Came here for a break with my boyfriend. He like fishing, I like swimming so this seemed perfect. The fishing was great as it was literally outside our front door so I never felt abandoned! The China Fleet health club was brilliant. So much to do. We also had the hot tub overlooking the lake which was great. The cottage itself is small but comfortable. It was warm so we didn't need to use the wood burning fire, although the owners had thoughtfully left some logs.

Summary: We had a lovely stay at Owls Roost. The cottage itself is small, but warm, well equipped and comfortable. The shower room was nice with underfloor heating and good quality towels and bedding were provided. Trehill cottages is a beautiful location and the fishing, for a small place is very good. The fish are in excellent condition and quite big. Our largest was 12lbs. We also enjoyed the free China Fleet club passes. This is a great place and the staff are all very friendly. A great Cornish getaway
