Trehill Holiday Cottages is an idyllic lakeside holiday cottage complex in Callington, SE Cornwall. With tons to do on site + hot tubs in all cottages, you will never be short of options. Please note total occupancy is limited to 19 adults plus two children.
Renting these cottages for a group/family get-together is a great idea. The largest cottage, Gulliver is big enough for everyone to meet up in. But having other cottages where some guests can return to (all with full facilities) can be very stress-relieving!
Trehill has a Stunning hilltop location in the heart of the Tamar Valley with free on-site fishing & great leisure facilities!
When you arrive at Trehill cottages, you know you have arrived at a special place. Gorgeous converted farm buildings, 4 sunny acres of beautiful grounds & a plateau location with views far afield over the Cornish countryside.
There are 3 adjacent cottages, sleeping up to 19. Your price includes...
Gulliver Cottage (6 bedrooms, 4 shower rooms)
Gulliver has 6 bedrooms, sleeping 12 on its own in 3 double & 3 twin rooms. Gulliver also has an extra large table seating up to 20 at any one time. Large lounge with plenty of seating and a wood burning stove. There is also a separate conservatory and a hot tub (extra charge for the hot tub).
Lakeside cottage - 3 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms (sleeps 5)
Lakeside is a spacious cottage with a lovely first floor balcony and large hot tub.
Owls Roost 1+ bedrooms sleeping 2 adults & 2 children aged 6-13
Owls Roost has a downstairs en-suite double bedroom and a child's "Roost" room accessed by ladder-style steps. Owls Roost also has a wood burner and optional hot tub
You can reduce the price by reducing the number of cottages. Just ask us for under-occupancy pricing.
All of the cottages have their own hot tubs (there is an extra charge for these). There are also two fishing ponds, games room, outdoor pool (summer only), and our own mini "football pitch". The grounds and "common areas" such as the games room, are shared with the neighbouring Long Barn cottages.
A major draw are our two fishing lakes well stocked with Carp, Mirror carp and Tench. The fish are in excellent shape as we do not accept non residents for fishing. Top weights go up to 17lbs.
Games room - recently refurbished with indoor and outdoor table tennis, Pool table, air hockey & table football. All free to use. The games room is shared with our neighbouring Long Barn cottages as are the grounds and fishing.
There is also a family friendly swimming pool. Being quite shallow (dimensions 80cm deep x7m long x 4m wide) it is perfect for a relaxing dip. The permanent dome keeps it clean and much warmer than normal for an outdoor pool. It is shared with only one other cottage, so will be available for you for almost all of the day.
The Trehill estate consists of the 3 Trehill cottages included in the price, plus our 2 bedroom Lilliput cottage & our 3 Long Barn cottages. The pool is shared with Lilliput only. The grounds and games room are shared with the Long Barn cottages.
Please note that this property does not accept under 21(age) groups at all. Hen & Stag parties are only acceptable with prior agreement.

Summary: We (20 of us from various parts of the world) stayed at the Trehill Cottages (Gulliver, Lakeside, Owls Nest and Lilliput) for a week to attend a family wedding in the area. The cottages did not disappoint and suited our family group perfectly. Gulliver was at the centre of most of our entertaining, but all the cottages are individually very lovely. Beautiful setting with the pond and gardens and wonderful views beyond. The cottages are well furnished and fitted out and everything was in good working order. One minor observation, the pot and pans in Gulliver could perhaps be renewed soon ... a little worn and wobbly ... Overall a great stay and would highly recommend.

Summary: We stayed in the largest cottage (gulliver - see separate review). We rented all 4 cottages for our anniversary to get all the family together for the weekend. So difficukt to do but this place just ticked all the boxes. Fishing was a must for ypungest son. Daughters wanted a hot tub. Games room and China Fleet club also helped persuade. So we managed it and what a wonderful time we had. The owners were very helpful with recommendations etc. Thanks very much for everything. Edith.

Summary: Came here for a family break for my 60th & was not disappointed. Everything was just right. The fishing was surprisingly good (caught loads with a weight of up to 12lbs). Kids enjpyed the China Fleet club and spent hours in the outdoor pool & hot tub. Everyone was just relaxed, which happens so rarely!

Summary: Cornwall is a lovely place to stay. The hot tubs were disappointing, when I had to pay extra for them. The kitchen was too small for the amount of people it holds. Guliver needs a lot of TLC on it. ( hence the mouse) The pool was disappointing, very shallow, very cold. For children. Over all for the amount of money I paid it was pour.

Summary: Great weekend away with friends. The owner could not have been more helpful. Made sure there was wood for the fire, the cottages were warm & the hot tubs were ready to go. The China Fleet club is a bit of a drive away, but worth the trip as the varity of things to do there is huge. We just used the pool and spa area (very good indeed), but the gym looked awesome & we were even tempted to hire a basket ball court for a bit of one on one!

Summary: Came here with friends for 30th birthday. Couldnt fault anything. The owners were really helpfyl with suugestions on things to do. Cottages were warm and the big cottage had plenty of space forus all to eat together. hot tub and health club great too.

Summary: Large family get together & there was something for everyone. Fishing was perfect (right by the main cottage), kids loved the donkeys & play areas & games room. We all loved the China Fleet club. Even though weather was cold, we felt warm all the time. The owners were really helpful on advice for restaurants and beaches (Seaton was lovely!)
