Positive: The unusual nature of the signal box. It was very interesting as was the history of the old station. The log burner was brilliant and the good supply of logs and kindling to use on it was brilliant. It was very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. We cooked a complete Christmas dinner while we were there. There were several walks from the garden gate. There were also a good selection of pubs nearby to have a drink and meals. We visited the White Lion on Christmas eve and had a delicious meal there. It was also near to Lee on Solent . This is an interesting place to visit. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Negative: There were several steps and walk from the car to the Signal box but that would only only be a problem if you had mobility issues.

Summary: A very unusual place to stay.

Negative: A dishwasher would have been good and more storage space for food. The shower could do with an update.

Positive: A really unique place! Very comfortable and cosy and in a beautiful location. The owners were lovely - very friendly and knowledgable about the history of the area and having ducks, chickens and geese around together with their dogs was an added bonus. The Signal Box was a real find and we will definitely go back.

Positive: Perfect location right next to the meon valley trail. On a private property secured by a gate, so you feel safe but you have complete privacy. Little get away, perfect for a couple who are looking for quiettness, nature but with towns just a quick drive away. The hosts are very sweet and will give you a lot of tips and info from the area. A perfect place to explore the area, take some hikes, go to one of the pubs in the area and come back to your "home" make a fire in the fireplace and relax.

Negative: I cannot think of anything a didn't like. We had some Brittish weather, but since you are in a cosy little house with a fireplace, even that wasn't bad.

Positive: Location was beautiful, so peaceful, even with the resident geese, ducks and chickens. Hosts were great, very helpful and showed us both a very warm welcome. Great pubs nearby and lots of walks to enjoy. The property was amazing, very unique and very tastefully done. We had everything we could possibly need and it was a lovely relaxing few days away... Would highly recommend and definitely would love to return.
