Negative: No faults but the place is located in a very remote town. There was no wifi and very poor reception on both of our phones. Perhaps a good thing for most.

Positive: This is a great conversion of a primitive stone abode into modern and comfortable accommodation. It is situated in a remote village in beautiful countryside within walking distance to the Buracas do Casmilo. It is equipped with all mod cons, except Air Con ..

Negative: The wash basin is so tiny as to be a challenge ! Another possible challenge - connectivity ! There is no WiFi in the apartment and not all cell networks have coverage in the spot. I have a contract with NOS and had to walk up the hill for a signal But my partner was pleasantly connected with his Vodafone SIM Card

Positive: Beautiful little cottage in a delightful village. Everything we needed was there, and the area has a lot of fine walking and scenery. The hosts kindly left us some delicious cheese and wine to enjoy over Christmas.

Negative: Just a small observation - we were there in cold weather and ran out of wood for the stove - there was more wood available but we didn't realise where it was until we were leaving.

Positive: The host was available even before our arrival, providing all the information we requested. When we got to the little house, fireplace was on, very cosy and warm, and there were some local treats. We had most meals in the house, it was quite pleasant, although we could not get the toaster to work. The surroundings were very sweet, very rural, and the Buracas are quite something, plus a lovely walk from the house.

Negative: Although we appreciated the quietness, there is no mobile network, and therefore, wifi would improve the stay of the guests. The fireplace is a lovely add-on but not sufficient as it was indeed very cold and some sort of heating system/AC would add to the comfort overall. The bathroom was freezing and the shower ran out of hot water after one shower. We waited the 15min the host indicated (actually half an hour), but still, second shower was running cold.
