Positive: Everything was exceptional. Our room , breakfast, location and our hosts, Elise and Richard went above and beyond our expectations to make our stay really special . Can't wait to return !

Positive: We felt totally pampered and so welcome in Elise and Richard’s stunning home. Two nights were far too short so we will definitely be back. The village is beautiful and we enjoyed a super meal sat on the terrace of the local restaurant. Delicious breakfasts (my French husband said that the croissants were the best that he has had). The beautiful collections of art and quirky antiques have been brought together by the couple to complement an interior which is fit for any French Home Magazine.

Negative: Having to leave after just two nights!

Negative: There wasn’t anything to dislike…

Summary: A relaxing stay in a spacious bedroom ..the decor was remarkable..so many lovely things which enhanced our stay.

Positive: Location in a small village perfect. Breakfast, everything you could want. The house is amazing. The hosts have spent many years collecting lovely period furniture and making a real home. They are really outgoing and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. This is probably (no definitely) the best place we have stayed. Genius L3.

Summary: A real treat. Like staying in a country mansion would feel like (I suspect).

Positive: Elise and Richard are absolutely charming hosts. The room was wonderful, in fact the whole property was excellent. Our bedroom view of the fast flowing River Vienne superb. The breakfast was just perfect, plenty of choice. The recommendation of local places to eat were very helpful too. The dogs Tiggy & Teddy and their friend were great. As for Jack the 22yr old pussy cat he was amazing. Bless him. The location was just perfect for touring the area. :-)

Negative: Only that we couldn't stay longer. We are missing it already. PS. The Chip Shop in Confolens was okay but not as good as our local Chippy here in blighty. :-(
