Negative: The WiFi was weak in our room but strong in the restaurant downstairs so not a big deal

Negative: I had a garden bungalow but unfortunately they have let the garden between the restaurant and the bungalows become a literal junk yard. Such a shame

Negative: We went for the best room but was very sparse. No real toiletries or hairdryer. Was the most expensive room on our trip but wasn’t worth the money.

Positive: Hotel right next to the river with great views from the balcony. Incredibly quiet and peaceful - a good place to unwind and relax. You can eat at the hotel or one of the close by restaurants - they all serve pretty much the same thing - good local fresh food. The facilities are quite basic but in Muang Ngoy, that's not a problem.

Negative: There was sometimes a bit of a damp smell in the bathroom.

Positive: Good location, but everything is a good location in Muang Ngoi because its such a small village. Nice view from terrace, shower working fine but old and low pressure

Negative: Room looks cosy but is old and not well mainatined, made of bamboo so its very cold in january, a bit dirty on the floor

Positive: Overall my stay was great, room was very good and staff very friendly,view from the terrace was amazing

Positive: We had a great stay at Ning Ning. It's a beautiful location with spectacular views from the open air restaurant. Right off the main road so easy for restaurants and village life. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Staff are friendly. They organised our boat transfer from/to Nong Khiaw. Jay from J-Walk Tours came to see us on arrival and we did all of our activities (hikes, boat trips, kayaking etc) through him - highly recommend as well.

Negative: An extra blanket for winter might be a good idea. And the included breakfast was limited but tasty - baguette with jam or egg (even more limited if you're vegan!) - maybe add a rice option? We bought extra fruit, drinks and baguettes to supplement.

Positive: the breakfast was nice - good coffee and pancakes. also the location/view is great.

Negative: the room was really shabby, there were hairs in the sink and my “clean” bedsheets. the shower head in the shower was broken, and mold on the ceilings/walls. no safe either
