Positive: The property is an oasis of calm, moments away from the bustling heart of Naples. A concealed and locked doorway invites you into a private courtyard, lush with plants and spotlessly maintained. Access to the upper floors is via steps and also a private lift so very accessible if one has mobility issues. The property is decorated in a modern style but in keeping with the age of the property and the culture of the area. Fresh flowers added to the ambience. Our host was terrific, offering recommendations for restaurants in the area which we appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed. On hearing that we intended using the sofa bed for my daughter, she then and there made up the bed herself with fresh bedding without any hesitation. The kitchen was well stocked with glasswear, coffee making facilities etc. but in the heart of Naples we spent the time sampling the local plentiful offerings.

Negative: It's worth remembering that there is a local tourist tax of 5e per person per night. Also there is a skylight in the living room, over the sofa bed so bring an eye mask. With only one bathroom there was a queue in the morning!

Positive: Central location. We were met by Francesco who was very helpful, telling us about good local restaurants and places to visit. We requested a DVD player and Maria kindly arranged for one to be installed. She also arranged a taxi to the airport which was prompt and inexpensive and thedriver was very pleasant and helpful. Very comfortable beds and pillows and spotless bedding and towels. Plenty of hot water at all times. Kitchen equipment was adequate with good coffee maker, coffee pods and soft drinks provided. Apartment very spacious and clean, large bedrooms and living area. One bedroom very quiet, one a little less quiet, over the central area

Positive: A fantastic place to stay in Naples, right in the heart of the old town. The famous Sorbillo pizza place at the top of the street, a shop literally next door for beer/wine/water/snacks, a taxi rank just round the corner, and a bar across the road, yet an amazingly tranquil oasis, in a nice old building. The apartment is lovely - clean, comfortable and well appointed with everything you need (wi-fi, coffee machine etc). Maria the owner couldn't be more helpful. There may be other places to stay as good as this in Naples, but I doubt that there are any better. And I should add that Naples is a great place to visit!

Negative: Nothing, it was all excellent.

Positive: Clean and close to the centre. There was everything you need to live comfortably with a family which has young kids. The host was kind enough to prepare the apartment before check-in time and was prompt in responding all the queries we had about how to plan our day trips.

Negative: It was in a very narrow street so access to taxis was limited but if you walk for 100m, you will get amount options for taxis
