Positive: We stayed in one of the cute, small wooden huts of NichahomePai that are a bit far from the city (15min drive / 2h walk). If you are looking for a chill stay away from the city then this is just for you. The lodgings are close to the river where every morning and afternoon two elephants from the neighboring elephant-camp would come to swim. Overall the view of the mountains and fields from the porch is absolutely beautiful! Waking up, sitting in the hammock and enjoying the scenery first thing in the morning was fantastic. The huts are equipped with basic stuff you need: bed, sink, toilet, shower, and a few amenities (wifi, 2 bottles of water, shampoo, body wash, toilet paper). And you can also cook at the kitchen.

Negative: However I would strongly recommend to rent a motorbike because otherwise it will be hard to get around! The Pai Canyon and Memorial Bridge can be easily reached by a 10-15min walk from the lodge but everything else is rather far away. Even for food you have to walk those 10-15min to the next restaurant or mini-mart for drinks. Plus you're staying in the countryside so you may reckon that there are lots of animals like the Tokay Gecko, small lizards, spiders, frogs and maybe even some mice. Because we sadly had mice on our roof and they kept me awake almost all night jumping around. Our direct neighbor didn't have any, though.

Positive: Far from a crowded place, this is a good stay to enjoy nature at daytime and stars skies at nights. Free tea/coffee, good enough wi-fi.

Negative: No bike rentals nearby, expensive taxi from the place to the town, almost impossible to get Bolt taxi back from the town.
