Summary: Friendly and comfortable hotel (I was in the old one). Nice balcony. Good food in restaurant and filling breakfast. Parked my bike inside over night. Good overnight stop

Summary: Outside appearances can be deceptive, The Ngan Nga Bac Ha Hotel is welcoming and friendly. There is no lift, but staff carry your heavy luggage and walking a couple of flights of stairs is good for your health. Take time to sit outside and have a drink and watch the beauty of Vietnam unfold before you, chat to the friendly staff, they may struggle with some English, but super nice people. The manager is very helpful, assisting with problems that are not hotel related. Food was excellent.

Summary: A fine hotel where the friendly, efficient staff can organise motorbikes, home stays, onward transport etc. It''s close to the popular and fascinating Sunday market so you can get there before the minibuses from Sapa arrive ... Recommended.

Summary: We booked Ngan Nga Hotel as a base for 4 days exploring Bac Ha area. Communication with Mr Dong was a bit difficult in advance (we had lots of questions about booking tours, leaving luggage, etc, and his email replies were often just "ok, see you soon". But when we got there, everything was organised very easily. The room (VIP room) was surprisingly big, the beds very comfortable. We were on the 5th floor, no lift! The guide (Cho) he arranged for our 2-day trek/homestay was excellent, highly recommended.

Summary: The staff were very friendly and helpful, though only a couple could speak English. The food was fine without being exciting. Mr Dong, one of the managers,organised a great tour to take us back to Lao Cai afterwards.

Summary: The food at this place is great! I would not eat anywhere else. We loved the banana pancakes. Make sure and ask the waiter if you can try the Bac Ha liquor.
